I was very happy with the space and cost initially $80. A couple of months later I was paying $160 for the same space. The fine print says they can raise the prices with notice and that is fair but NOT DOUBLE!

CROOKED AND I WILL BE VACATING! MAKE SURE YOU ASK WHEN AND BY HOW MUCH YOUR INCREASES WILL BE. I ALSO SUGGEST ASKING FOR A LEASE TYPE OF ARRANGMENT OR PREPAY DEALS.

The onsite team is awesome and the office employee is very helpful …. The only issue I can address is assumptions and opinions from others saying that I might be storing food in my storage is absurd those type of people really need to pay less attention to others and mind their own business unless it’s against the policy to eat lunch after a hard days work at my storage unit !!!

Extra space deserves zero stars. Instead of contacting me when I was in financial hardship, they auctioned my belongings without even giving me a heads up. Every time you try to contact them send you in circles on the automated phone system. Upon finally being able to reach them by pretending to want a new space to pay my balance I find out they sold all my stuff after missing two payments! The representative on the phone stating oh they put up public postings and ads in newspapers to notify you. PLEASE. Thousands of dollars of my belongings GONE. And I was supposed to find out by a newspaper?!!!!! I want to sue them so bad this cannot be legal!!!!!!!!!!

Had 3 storage units over almost 6 years and zero issues. Management was always polite, helpful and available. Had a bad issue previously with another storage facility so was initially skeptical.
But that fear quickly dissipated. I only wish the same manager was in my new city.

Renting a storage space here is fast and easy. Customer service is great, Stephan was helpful and answered all of our questions. He helped us price out units at a few of their nearby sites, but we decided to go with CV because of the pricing, convenient location, and the facilities are clean and well-maintained.

To the people who stole my most cherish memories of my childhood. And my family legacy.
You took my father’s collection of family photos and history of our family from the early 40s black and white photos.

These are prints from Peru and Washington DC. It’s the only physical copies I had of my family heritage. I beg of you to return it. Please.

It’s bad enough we could not have my father’s ashes in his death. But you stole my last connection with my bloodline history.

We paid for over 5 years with increasing prices and for what to keep our belongings safe here which we assumed.

My collections as a kid growing up which were memories created and, cherished with my mother and father all stolen and ripped away from my hands. I honestly don’t know what it is the point of being good anymore in this world when evil is always prevailing.

I have nothing to hand down now to my family as a memory of where we come from who we are.
Only left with not trusting anyone in this world anymore.
I hope you at least save the photos and do the right thing please turn them in to the local authorities.

This is how the world is now. No hope at all. Just crime ridden drug infested a cesspool of degenerates who strive for nothing in life other than justifying their disgusting existence.

I’ve been to extra space storage a few times over the last 25 yrs. Recently I went back to inquire about renting a new space. Stephan at CV office was so helpful and courteous. He took me out to show me size differences and locations of each space. He was very knowledgeable and delightful. Even though the CV office didn’t have the available space I needed, he helped me find a different location that did. I will be renting soon but can’t recommend these people and this company highly enough. They truly care about you and not just renting a space. Stephan went above and beyond and I’m truly grateful!

Me and Wife have been using this facility Extra storage facility in Castro Valley for about five months. And after my daughter moved out of her place we needed a secondary storage for her belongings. We dealt with Dan once again. Dan is super courteous and explains everything in detail. Extremely mannered and is not pushy. Not to mention the facilities are supper clean with reasonable prices. This is our go 2 Place!! Extremely happy!!!
