I had two eye procedures at the Winter Haven facility over the past two weeks performed by Dr. David Loewy. Both were cataract removals with lens replacement. The surgery and patient care were outstanding. I went from wearing trifocal glasses for the past 40 years to wearing OTC reading glasses. I would recommend Eye Specialist of Mid Florida to everyone who is having vision issues. The Doctors and staff are very caring professionals who know their jobs and perform them well !!!!!

We have had the best experience working with this office over the last few months! My grandma had severe vision loss. We came in, the took everything extremely serious. The team works like a well oiled machine. Doctor Welch( son and father) have been fantastic. The surgery was a great success on both eyes. They got her into surgery quickly. She is beyond happy with the results and she isn't even done healing! The whole staff had been amazing. From the front desk, to each tech and nurse, all the way to help Doctors. I can't say enough praise.

This is a very well run practice. The focus is on providing each patient with an accurate diagnosis and treatment. All of the staff are professional and pleasant to deal with. My cataract surgery and aftercare has been successful.

This morning was the first time I had been to this facility. My eye exam appointment was for 9:00 AM. I arrived at 8:38. I was told there was a line and to have a seat or look at some frames. I asked if they wanted to see my insurance card. I was told they would take care of that when I was called back up to the desk. I sat patiently while many people were called to the desk. Finally at 20 mins after nine I returned to the desk to ask what was going on. They wanted me to wait while they were going to try and find out what happened to my paperwork. I had waited long enough and left. I won't be back. Bad first impression.

Eye Specialist Of Mid Florida, Winter Haven WOW! It’s the most unprofessional, unfriendly place I’ve been to lately. I walk through the door and immediately you can tell is going to be an unfriendly place. First of all there’s a sign that says WAIT HERE! So you’re supposed to form a line to get waited on.

As I was waiting my turn at that sign one of four ladies at the desk said abruptly are you waiting to be seen, well I said I was there to find out if my glasses were in, she took my name and birthdate and put it in a file and told me to have a seat. So she puts the file in wall file holder with 20 people around so I wonder who’s going to see that file?

After about 15 minutes l hear my name being called. To my surprise, my glasses aren’t ready. Why should they be it’s only been two weeks. I forgot to mention if they had someone to answer the phone they would be a lot more efficient, I called three times and got the answer machine each time and left a message. If they had answered my call it would have been a five minute conversation but you see they have an optical department but no one is ever in it and they probably don’t answer the phone if they were.

Whoever set up their whole incoming system has to be an idiot, in my opinion because no intelligent person would set up a system like that.

I have been trying to contact the optical department all day. To get my glass lenses replace because the lake wales branch sent them to winter haven. I guess the closest location that was able to do it. Lake wales told me 2 weeks it would take. After 3 weeks I call lake wales and they tell me they are the winter haven location and that they should give me a call within the same day. A week later I finally get a call which I couldn’t answer because I was working. I’ve been calling ever since and I get no answer.
