I want to say how pleased we are with the customer service received at this Ace Hardware stire in Sherwood. All the employees there are always asking if they can help us find something, doesn't matter if it is a sakes person, cashier or manger they have always bent over backwards to assist. If they don't know they will as one of the other staff members if they do. We have had great service mo matter if it is a purchase or return. Staff is always friendly and make you feel as if you are the only customer in the store. Keep up the good work!

I was looking for something specific and had no idea where it was in this store as this was my first time in there. I was promptly asked if I needed help with anything. That individual escorted me to the area I needed to be in and then sent me the subject matter expert to help me make the best choice. No one was pushy, just helpful and knowledgeable. I was in and out with relative ease.

Two things leading to this review, of a store I’ve always sought out and enjoyed going to.

First, I placed a pickup order, then spoke to Courtney (manager) after part of my order was cancelled and the promo money from my Ace Rewards was kept and not reinstated. She was completely rude and seemed to care less. She was unable to cancel the remaining part of my order, and directed me to call Ace’s corporate number. Ideal? No. Stuff happens and she followed up to take the time to try to make it right. We’ve all come off as rude, so I got it.

But then a couple days later I call to verify an item was actually in stock given my last order. I verify stock and ask about price matching, which was about $30. I was told they would price match if they could verify the price, no problem. I drive 15 minutes one way to them, they verify the price, then say they can’t match Walmart or Amazon. A direct contradiction of what I was told verbally when I specifically asked about those 2 retailers not an hour earlier. When I asked to speak to the manager I was told he was the manager. I was surprised because this gentleman has helped me previously on multiple occasions, was not the manager, and just a couple days prior Courtney was the manager. Completely comes off as fly by night staff who apparently get to claim titles and make decisions as they see fit, even when a customer was told something by another team member immediately prior.

I shopped here regularly, but that ship has sailed. I will not do business at this location again. Do not trust what you are told by this establishment. All of this over honoring 30 bucks with a regular customer.

The people at this store go above and beyond being helpful. Great place to find everything you need, get advice, and save money. They have items the big box stores don't carry, and they know how to use them.
