Be careful marrying a man who decided to have kids with a spiteful woman. Ladies if you file jointly all your money will taken away. If you have a baby they will garnish your tax credit. This system isn’t meant to favor the men. Sadly, men who aren’t the father will always be obligated to pay as well. There is reason child support is called a broke woman’s hustle.

How horrible. They need to shut DCF down. The automatic system hangs up on you. When you try to do a chat online, it's a robot. I pray for so many people. I may God help those in need

UPDATE: noncustodial got his DL suspended, he hasn't pay child support in 15 years , he refused 2 DNA test , he disputed his DL suspension and he got it reinstated he is telling everyone how he paid the judge 10k to get his DL back ... STILL NO COURT DATE , NO DNA , WE ARE GOING BACKWARDS. ( CASE WAS OPENED 12/29/2024) I guess money can buy everything in this country.

I'm About to sue this child support office ! California provided everything they need to find the none custodian parent , I hired a private investigator and gave them everything , address , ss#, DL , home and business address and they told me they cant find the other parent , who's is not doing their job California child support or Florida ? Case was opened on DECEMBER 29 " 2022 " I did everything for you to find him and you still not doing anything !!!! He is a millionaire so I'm wondering if someone is getting pay on that department?

No better words to say than horrible! The hearings are discriminatory at best. Hearing officers are disrespectful. I was asked to submit information different times over the last FEW years to FINALLY get to a hearing and referred to documents of proof I submitted when asked for proof (MOST RECENTLY, DAYS BEFORE THE HEARING), the HEARING OFFICER says "STOP REFERRING TO WHAT YOU SUBMITTED, NO ONE LOOKED AT THAT." When he asked very important questions to the DOR attorney, she wasn't even paying attention!!! Our tax dollars couldn't be more wasted on this broken prejudiced system that is more dysfunctional than the families who attempt to utilize it. When you reach out for specific answers, you get the same generic, seemingly A.I generated response: "your case is still being reviewed." Until when, after my child turns 18!

This is an update review after years that I am dealing with this office. Applied in 2021, I recently just started to work when I left my ex-husband, after 1 year at the hearing they denied me child support as it was 50/50, they approved his 2021 taxes as base when we were still living together instead of doing some investigation. In September 2023 I got full custody and applied in October 2023 to review the case and get child support, when
I started the process I discover he was receiving checks for more than 10k every 2 weeks ( total of 4 check) I sent the check to child support (note that the checks were received by him during the time in 2022 where I got denied the first time, if they only would have done they work I was supposed to receive child support even having 50/50) but they obviously never say anything about that. Either way I contacted child support many times and finally on July 16 I got the hearing, payment should have started on August 1st but apparently the court has never signed the order. I have contacted them different times every week since then having different answers every time, confusing and helpless. I got a call last week on 08/29 were the lady told me she was going to send out an email to manager and see what they could do and call back the next day 08/30, I decided to call back today 09/03 and the lady was very rude and told me to be patient and it would take up to 60 days, Tired of the situation I asked what should I do as I can't anymore, and she did not have anything nice or smart to say, I asked if she had a number I could call to report and make a complaint for child support and the court and she said, that If I google it I would find what I need, really nice. This system is broken, people are disgusting.

Contacting Chid Support and Levy department has resulted in inconsistent responses across seven separate calls, reflecting inadequate staffing and unprofessionalism. Mistakes made by staff members could potentially have severe consequences. It's regrettable that there appears to be a lack of standards and ethics within this department. As a recourse, I recommend seeking assistance from the state attorney's office or hiring legal representation to address any grievances.

This is made for a broken system. I have had millions of problems all throughout having a child support order from florida. people at the local office don't know left from right sometimes. I walked in to deal with something one time and then got a call as if I was never there A week ago to see if i've done what I was supposed to. They want you to become private investigators because they can't track down the other parents information. They told me to go and stalk him at one point to take pictures of him. To prove he is working. I would not recommend putting anybody on child support in florida. And if you have an interstate case Forget about it.
