This place used to have the best Carne asada, Pollo asada and steaks in the area , the business was sold within the last year and it has all gone downhill. The Carne now tastes like it is seasoned like middle eastern meat. Very bummed about this as I have been buying my meat here for years.

Taco’s- Street tacos;
Carne asada, pollo asada, guacamole, cilantro, onions and a hot sauce with a kick.
Simple, fresh, not greasy, perfect corn tortillas(didn’t split or break)tasty meats.
Delish!

Great little grocery store. Carne asada & pollo asada are my go to choices here. Recently reorganized the store & it's way better. Love it for the quick stop shop. Very nice staff. Oh yeah ... And the prime cuts of meat are gorgeous but out of my price range. If I could I'd buy those steaks in a heart beat!

This is the best mom & pop store owned market in Lakeside CA. The staff is very friendly and helpful and they have excellent deals on cigarettes and other products. Please give them your support by giving them your business. We need to keep more local markets like this one in business forever.

I have been trying to narrow down San Diegos' best Carne Asada for quite some time. Being an ex-chef, I am pretty fussy. Quality and flavor is definitely a MUST for me. Somehow (a buddy) I got shown this small, unknown little market, and discovered the best carne asada I've ever had! I can eat it just by itself, it's so good. Really....5 stars is not enough!

UPDATE: The food farm market has undergone an ownership change, and the taste and quality of the Carne Asada has taken a hit. I'm hoping that they will eventually get the Original Recipe under control.

I come here normally on a bi-weekly basis to get carne asada because it is really good. I didnt think to look at the price because it has not changed in the past few months.

I get home and look at my receipt to see that they raised the price of the meat all of a sudden to almost $10/lb. Never did I think they would be ones to be Price gouging. They seem to be taking advantage of the situation our country is in right now.

On another note: almost every other item I picked up on the shelf was expired, from candy to sodas.

I'm so happy I discovered this little store. It may not be super big, but they do have a very large selection of products, including some fruits, vegetables, and meats. They also have a wonderful staff working there. Always friendly, always helpful. I use a walker, and they always ask me if i need help. Terrific store!!
