The good - in general, more knowledgeable floor help than the big box competitor (anyone else notice how at HD if you ask someone where something is, 90% of the time they have to look at a handheld device?) Frequent sales. Flexible shipping and returns. The disappointing - I've spent over $15k in the last year and have an account. Yet, I get quizzed about my identity when checking out, with an account #, and chastised on the rare occasion I've walked in with an item to be returned w/o declaring it when I enter the store. I get that retail theft is an issue in general. But, I have an account # and everything I've purchased is stored and visible to cashiers with that account #. So the assumption that I'm engaging in fraud or theft given the ridiculous amount of money I spend here, is a bit offputting. And I would say after about a year of visiting this store, that the attitude/morale amongst the floor staff is 50/50, pleasant and helpful vs unpleasant and not helpful. There is one older guy who has been working the plumbing area recently who is both pleasant and more helpful than anyone else I've dealt with there. The yard/materials staff are always pleasant and helpful.

Friedman is the greatest place to get you things you need for household building patios swimming pools decks chickamauga and other things please visit it's a nice place to shop if you're in the building or such.

Great selection of tools, bbq, and backyard supplies. I've never seen a hardware store with a deli/bakery inside. Super awesome place for strange people like me.

If you walk into this business they automatically accuse you of stealing. My bf and I walked in looking for some hinges/screws for our RV door that broke. Took us a few minutes of browsing to find the right isle, and look through the drawers to see if anything was what we needed or could use. We then heard a man on his radio talking about us and that he needed someone to come find us because he accused us of stealing. We couldn't find what we needed and immediately became infuriated and uncomfortable. We walked down the isle to leave to which a worker was walking towards us with this smug look of disgust, then proceeded to follow us, almost running into me. Didn't say a word but gave me a god awful look. I have never been to a business where browsing/looking for what you needed was automatically met with you're stealing. Not once did anyone ask if we needed assistance finding anything, or if they could help in any manner. This store and their employees are a complete joke!! Do better. Take your business elsewhere.

Prices seem a bit high and 1/2 the staff is lazy, the other half very helpful. Noticed a couple of the younger women playing on the cell phone or sitting around with a long line at the counter. Selection is pretty good here. So, 3 stars it is.

It's paint time And there's no better place to get paint needs than my local Friedman's. To make your paint project easy, check out Graco paint sprayers, They have a great assortment. And they sell KILZ primer which will make your paint project look professional! Great store great service check it out
