As I was going to pay my TECO bill I noticed George's Deli & Foodmart Was selling a 15-pack of Glacéau Smartwater for $17.00. I told the clerk that was price gouging. He responded that his vender raised his prices so he had to charge more because of this… I told him that was BS and I was going to report him for Price Gouging.
As I pulled out my camera phone the clerk asked what I was doing, I said I was taking a picture to file a complaint. At this point I was assaulted by the clerk; he grabbed me and started pushing me out of the store. I told him he was assaulting and I was going to call 911! I did call 911. The Sheriff arrived and went in to talk to the clerk and review store video. After reviewing the video Deputy G. Nestorovich told me the video showed I pushed the clerk back. This is true, but it was self-defense as I was concerned for my safety as he was extremely aggressive.
Deputy G. Nestorovich told me he could not arrest the clerk as the video shows me pushing back. I did not want to argue as I just want to report Price Gouging. Deputy G. Nestorovich did tell me, he told the clerk/store owner he should be ashamed of himself. All of this was documented by Deputy Nestorovich
