We came here for dessert later in the day, around 7:30 when it was less busy. We each ordered one of their decadent desserts. Our son had the Caramel Quake Shake and a fudge brownie. He loved the shake and it was surprisingly not too sweet. He also liked the brownie but he found it really dense like any good one should be.

I had the Milk Chocolate Ocean Sundae with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, milk chocolate fudge, whipping cream, sea salt and a milk chocolate sea salt caramel square. It was amazingly delicious!

My wife and mother-in-law each had the Hot Fudge Sundae with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, milk chocolate fudge, whipping cream, diced almonds, a maraschino cherry and a milk chocolate square. They both enjoyed their sundaes and finished them all!

It’s expensive but it is a great place to come to for some delicious chocolate or amazing desserts!

The facility was clean and bright and the staff was friendly and helpful. There were a lot of customers, but it wasn't terribly crowded. They had an extensive assortment of their chocolates. I bought a selection of squares by the pound. I also purchased one of their sundaes. It was fantastic. The building is difficult to get to in a wheelchair because of the hills and levels in the area. But once inside, it's completely accessible.

We went for the world famous hot fudge sundae. Quite a nice treat. I think we could have shared between 2 as is always the recommendation when getting dessert.

Glad to visit it but when discussing between us we realised that this is just an overpriced venture, in reality we could concoct something similar at home with not much difference in taste 🙂

Wish I brought some chocolate home for gifts. 🎁 great atmosphere.

It is one of my guilty pleasures. Their chocolate and ice cream are irresistibly delicious, making it a go-to spot whenever I crave a sweet treat. The flavors are rich and indulgent, and the quality never disappoints.

One of the highlights of visiting this location is the stunning Bay view. On a sunny day, sitting by the window or outside with a decadent sundae while overlooking the sparkling water is an experience that’s hard to top.

However, the service can be a bit slow. You’ll often have to wait quite a while to be seated or served, which can be frustrating, especially during busy hours. That said, the views and the iconic Ghirardelli treats usually make the wait worthwhile.

If you’re not in a rush and want to enjoy a delicious dessert with a gorgeous Bay view, this spot is definitely worth a visit!

I love chocolate and ice cream and whipped cream. This place never disappoints. I was lucky to be there when it is not crowded. I didn’t know they opened the space on the other side of the plaza, more spacious. I tasted heaven there. I apologized to my pancreas, liver, and mind, but I couldn’t resist. For me it’s a treat once in a year or two.

You can order Hot Fudge Sundaes in several varieties and shop for chocolates. There's a bunch of different chocolates to choose from and you can customize a bag. The Sundaes cost more if you want to sit inside. There is limited seating. For a better value, take it to-go. There is outdoor seating or just walk around. There's a lot to see at the Square.

We were here on 12/30/24 during the holiday season. It was crowded and there was a very long line to enter this building.

It is very popular tourist attraction! Especially if you’re sweet toothed person you can get all kinds sweet treats there, such as chocolate/cocoa drinks, iced cream and all sorts of flavors chocolate. We went there in the afternoon, there were a lot of people there.
