some management was rude. There was a woman who followed us closely around making snide remarks to her coworkers about us needing to close our bags and asking her coworkers to check the cameras DIRECTLY in front of us. We were looking at buying things and genuinely just had a bad taste in our mouth. Melbourne locals suddenly not welcome there just based on the way we looked.

In response to your reply, I completely understand that perspective! HOWEVER… my group and I were told that we should “think about zipping our bags” because of the homeless population in downtown melbourne, and that WE were likely to get robbed if we had them open. If we had been politely asked to close our bags due to store policy, rather than blame it on the less fortunate and give us unhappy looks, we would have been more than happy to comply!

What a fun shop! So much to see. Specifically they had a large selection of beachy ornaments, mermaids, fairy garden accessories, fun gift ideas, and so much more. The people working there were kind and helpful. I took my sister who was visiting and she enjoyed looking around in there with me.

Customer service made me and my friends extremely uncomfortable. A woman working there constantly followed us around the store, and made snarky comments about “zipping up our bags”, as well as loudly asking another associate to keep checking the cameras. Very disappointed by the profiling.

Absolutely beautiful place. Affordable and left very satisfied with my purchase. I got a beautiful crystal ring. The staff was friendly and very understanding too! Definitely coming back.

After a month or two of wearing the rings regularly, the rings tarnished and chipped very easily. After the first day of wearing it for a few hours, I noticed it turning my finger green. The person we spoke to at the time claimed it would be fine for regular use and wouldn't turn your fingers green. Apparently, the rings have a lifetime warranty BUT you'd have to contact the manufacturer and not the shop for any replacement. I'm sure that the majority of items are better quality and probably won't give you ANY issues, but just for the small purchase we made, it wasn't worth the $30-40 dollars we paid.

I can't put into words how much I love coming here. I live locally and never pass up an opportunity to shop at glitter alley. It is truly the most amazing store. From jewelry, to statues, purses, Christmas stuff...it's endless ocean themed happiness. This store is magic. You can walk around for hours and still have plenty to see and even more you want to buy. Everything is beautiful and quality made. The people that work there are also lovely, friendly, and helpful. The owner is awesome. I just love it. Just go there and know you'll be walking out with armfuls full of stuff and more that you'll likely come back for. Don't forget to look up when you're there too! Bring your visitors from out of state and let them experience it as well. My favorite place in Melbourne. There's no way you aren't leaving there with some cool items and a smile. Obsessed with this store.

For a tourist, the prices were pretty great, there is definitely something for everyone, and the vibes were good. A lot of fairies, dragons, mushrooms, and sea worthy souvenirs!
