I recently brought my mom to the ER at Greater El Monte Hospital when she fell ill, and I wanted to share our experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff exceeded our expectations. They provided outstanding care—kind, gentle, and incredibly attentive to my mom’s needs. Every nurse, doctor, and staff member we interacted with was compassionate and patient-focused, making what could have been a stressful time much easier for our family.

I know that Greater El Monte Hospital hasn’t always had the best reputation by word of mouth, but I’ve noticed how much it has improved over the years. The care my mom received was far more personal and patient-centered than what we’ve experienced at other nearby hospitals.

While other local hospitals may benefit from huge donors that subsidize flashy, exterior upgrades, Greater El Monte focuses on what matters most: quality care. Sure, the hospital could use a few updates, but that’s secondary to the excellent treatment we received.

Thank you to the dedicated staff for providing such compassionate and thorough care. You’ve truly made a difference for my mom and for our family, and I hope others take note of how much Greater El Monte has to offer.

The nurses where angels specially Lupe but the social worker Outside of my room Laura is the name of that person even if she don't deserve to have that title playing Karol g the hall day all loud she discharged me because I tell her to stop playing music bichota all day is a hospital not a Night club I was supposed to take antibiotics shots that morning the doctor when to my room that morning and she tell me. That and they have the audacity to call my mom and tell her the I left the hospital just because i refuse to. Sing out the discharge consent I have to come back the same night for the infection on my leg and I was worse all these people from the emergency room were making fun of me and I have enough that night was enough to know worst hospital in town I hope that lady got fired

Don’t bring ur kid here! The doctor check your kid for fever and blood pressure and they don’t even check to see if he has Covid or not cuz the hospital does not do that here unless the patient has Covid so how do we as parent know if we don’t even have the Covid tester with us while traveling and your kid suddenly gets a high fever? Don’t ever bring your kid or family here!

This place is a little funny. Patient family has to wait outside for 30 mins (still waiting) to see the patient because they are drawing some blood? While the nurse inside told me to come anytime. They gave me an impression that they are trying to hide something that they don’t want me to see.

I hate to say it but I'm a frequent flyer here. Nothing to be proud of but I always get scolded as to why this hospital. Truth is from my experience here I always get treated very well and the staff here is very attentive. My main care nurses are the Vanessa's J and M without giving too much information 😅 the level of care and professionalism was immaculate down to earth and responsive. Their ability to socialize also help make one feel more comfortable with their care I was also cared for by Justin timberlake aka the ladies man😂 too hes a cool funny person. Lynn and Daniel as well were all on point as well no shortage of credit. The doctor understood my needs and ensure I received everything i required. and the front office staff are phenomenal. The gist of it all is I'm grateful for the care they give they're very detailed oriented and answer all my questions no matter how much I ask what something is they describe it it's purposes and such. I will continue to come here for my primary emergency care. Thank you all. And also I do see the negative reviews but you have to remember treat them how you'd like to be treated I was in excruciating pain but respect is always shown.

I took my husband for urgent colonoscopy procedure as ordered by his primary care which was scheduled in the morning next day. By afternoon I called to find out if he was done so I could go and see him for discharge. Person on the other line suggested that I call after 15 min bec the nurse was not available. I called after that and somebody slammed the phone and kept on slamming as it continued to ring so I hanged up and drove to the hospital. Also my husband’s meds that he brought with him which the nurse kept in hospital possession couldn’t be found because some medical staff mistakenly labeled the bag of meds under another patient’s name. Took 2 hours to discover that it was his. I think this hospital needs more training on staff. We’ll never want to go back there .

EXCELLENT SERVICE! My mom was treated right away. I feel comfortable leaving my mom in their hands. Plenty of staff and everyone busy attending to patients. "No one dragging their feet." Very Professional, Knowledgeable, & Kind, Caregivers. I would highly recommend this hospital. Thank you
