The hotel is in a great spot with new rooms and friendly staff but the walls in the rooms are paper thin, so you will hear everything your neighbors are saying/doing. Headboards share walls between rooms, making voices, TV, and movement particularly loud at night.

If it wasn't for that, this would be a good place to recommend, as the rooms are nice overall.

Nice remodel and our room was clean with a great view of the harbor. We were extremely lucky to encounter such a beautiful sunset during our stay. The host was so kind as well. She offered us coffee and we had a nice chat in the morning and shared our photos of the sunset. I’ll be headed back for sure!

The room was well appointed and very clean ( except for coffee pod left in coffee maker). The front desk staff was wonderful. The fire place a little tricky to figure out but…Bed comfy. The only issue for us was the hotel is not on the ocean side of Hwy 1 and overlooks a busy intersection that is quite noisy. Leaving windows open in the evening was not an option for us because of the noise. They do provide earplugs in the room.

Score of 1 - the room was very clean and the morning receptionist was nice and apologetic after we told him about our stay at checkout.

We had a really bad night. We were in Room 2 and the room directly above had constant movement, jumping, banging, dragging furniture, yelling, and a child running around a lot. I wish I was exaggerating. It was awful. My husband went to the office at around 7:30/8:00 pm after about two hours of dealing with it. He asked if management would contact the people in the room above us to see if they could make them aware of how much they are disturbing the neighbors and explain. The woman at the counter said "they have a child with them, but I will see what I can do."
My husband didn't feel very convinced that she was going to even contact the people above us. If anything it got worse. I think the people above us had their window open too, and a female adult in the room was so loud after midnight! Yelling. I finally stopped hearing all the yelling and banging, etc...after 1 AM! I couldn't fall asleep until then. It was crazy. We will never stay there again. Almost $200 for a terrible night's sleep.

Mold on the wall in the bathroom, found bed bugs in our sheets that obviously had not been changed….. the room was disgustingly dirty. Lots of road noise hardly got any sleep. HORRENDOUS hotel, way overpriced and we were charged a “$100 cash deposit” that we weren’t unable to get back… with no explanation.

Absolutely adored the room. I was there for a cooking class that I did in Half Moon Bay and sleeping over after the storm was so comfortable the room was warm inviting and I loved it. Pratima was fabulous as well as all of the other staff. I highly recommend this hotel because you open your window and you see the ocean

STEER clear, awful overpriced hotel with A LOT of road noise. Hotel manager stole our hundred dollar cash deposit. Staff is rude and untrustworthy. Harbor view inn doesn't even have a good view of the harbor. It's about a mile from shore and has an abandoned restaurant blocking any view of the harbor

My husband and I stayed here one night for a trip down the coast. The room 16 was beautiful! High vaulted ceiling, big TV, electric fireplace on the wall, big windows that open and include black out drapes, the bathroom and shower were nice size and included nice soaps. Room was very clean and modern. Beds very comfortable. Also included robes. Short walk to shops and restaurants (we enjoyed Half Moon Brewery for dinner) and the Press Cafe right next door is awesome for coffee and breakfast. Also, the staff in office were very friendly and accommodating. Just don't expect any frills in the office and no pool or hot tub. Would stay here again!
