Had the opportunity to meet Roz, the Assistant Branch Manager at Hertz, El Sobrante - what an incredible steward for the entire Hertz company. Made me into a more loyal Hertz customer and I will definitely be coming back there for when we need to rent a car next.

I was made reservation online and once I came in to pick up the car, the front agent named ross trying to give me an EV which was not the same car I had booked. So she said that the only option was luxury car because my initial car was not available. From that moment on forward, at the end ross successfully tricked me with extra charges without me knowing what really happened with the extra charges. I believe that her job to make extra bucks for her company with cheating tactics. Be careful of ross next time.

It was horrible the service and how everyone lies to us! I spent lot of time trying to talk to someone to resolve my problem, they said I have to wait until return the car and when I did they said they can’t do anything for me! I am really upset, disappointed and frustrated, specially with Roz who managed the information just to take advantage of us but also with costumer service because when I explained my problem they said not worries we are going to resolve it and I discovered in my case they put something totally different than what I said; we never have any problem when we rent with enterprise

Really bad costumer service. I made a reservation online so I wouldn't have to wait too long, and when I got to the rental office they made me wait 5 hours to be able to rent the car. The car they showed me had a bad smell inside and
was dirty. In order to rent the car, they asked me for my driver's license, my social security card, my immigration document, and a $1000 bank deposit.

There were lots of double charges that i am currently disputing.

Roz was so nice but the hertz system, fees, and fine print is just too much. I wont be back.

Logan and Roz are absolutely unacceptable. This location is a complete disaster—unorganized and poorly managed. I personally witnessed Logan blatantly lie to a customer, telling her she needed insurance for break-ins and pressuring her to buy their insurance because the area is “so bad,” even claiming he’d have to max out her card for damages.

This behavior is beyond unprofessional—it’s disgraceful and tarnishes the Hertz name. While I’ll rent from Hertz again, I will never set foot in this location.

Save yourself a headache and DO NOT rent from them ! Terrible customer service! I should’ve listened when friends and neighbors told me not to rent from Hertz!

Arrived at 12:30 pm for my scheduled pick up time…they were out to lunch until 1:15 pm! Not sure why the ENTIRE office has to take lunch at the same time?!

Car I reserved 2 weeks in advanced was not available and their only other option were SUVs. If I wanted an SUV, I would’ve rented one! And they didn’t offer any discount due to the inconvenience.

Ken Chu wouldn’t work with me to rectify the situation so ENTERPRISE got my business! You lost out because you were banking on me being in a desperate situation and suck up to you charging me!

And train your employees better because Roz, Logan, and Ken isn’t cutting it!

The desk help isn't worried at all about getting things done in a timely manner. Friendly as anything, but not in a hurry at all.... waited 30 minutes to RETURN a prepaid, full coverage car. She was giving hugs to customers and showing them all the driver features as if they purchased the car... get me on the road lady...
