This is a great place to teach kids how to fish. They provide everything including stocked ponds. If you get into trouble they are there to help. Very helpful staff with no judgment. It is catch and release. Thought they said it was only open to the public one day, maybe Sundays, a week.

Grab your family on a Sunday and head to family fishing day. Follow the Hooked on Fishing FB page and support this donation based non profit. Rods bait and help provided by awesome volunteers who are centered on providing outdoor experiences for all in this inclusive environment. We've caught great fish and created memories you can’t get elsewhere. Get outside! Love this place. 10 out of 10 experience. Highly recommend for all.

For a nonprofit, they are doing a fantastic job, free to the public on Sunday. With tree gear and bait. Fish were not biting, but still a great time.

Can't say enough about Hooked on Fishing. My grandson and I go there every Sunday right after church. Such a wonderful place for families to relax, connect, and enjoy nature. To observe a child catching their first fish is sheer delight. And to know the community service that Hooked on Fishing provides for groups of adults and children during the week is so encouraging. The Peoria area is the better for the presence of Hooked on Fishing!!!

Fantastic experience working with this volunteer team. I coordinated an event with them for this part weekend and the support they provided onsite was outstanding. We had many families with children fishing for the first time and they helped make it a memorable experience. Thank you Hooked on Fishing team!

We had a birthday party for our 6 year old and it was great! Kids loved fishing, equipment and bait was all set up when we got there and right by the edge the water is just 1ft deep, nobody had to worry if a kid would fall in.

Amazing program! We enjoyed fishing and the staff was wonderful to make sure no child was excluded from catching! Wide variety of fish caught and each staff member celebrated each child's catch!
