I've had a blocked sewer line for over a week and the city of Houston has yet to show up to fix this problem. 311 has been giving me the run around with empty promises since Monday. Terrible

For the most part, the work crews are generally nice to interact with, respectful of the homeowners around them and hard working. And then you get their managers who apparently think they are better than the public and can just block their only parking and then give attitude when you try and explain why they can’t park there

After the rains last week, our street got flooded from clogged drains. Today, a Public Works Team worked their tails off in this heat to clean those drains. Thank you so much Public Works!

Houston is working with "DG construction" to do road work on Guywood St. They cracked my windshield as I drove by their work site. They refuse to repair the damage. Houston needs to work with a more responsible company.

My bill in early February stated I used 10,000+ more gallons than I actually did. I've been contacting them for the past month telling them that the reading they have on my bill is much higher than what my physical meter is showing. They keep telling me there is a work order in place for someone to come out and check my meter and correct my bill but after a month, still nothing. Now I have to pay the crazy bill from February and will likely get another crazy bill in March because they won't come out in a timely manner. It's really unbelievable.

I have nothing but negative things to say about this department. I’ll start with, Yvonne Forrest, the director of houston water who is apart of the public works department. She is responsible for any poor decision making on behalf of this department and I’ve been on the receiving end of 5+ of her and her departments’ bad decisions in the last year of living in the Heights.

My neighborhoods’ water has been cut with NO NOTICE. Let me paint you a picture of what’s that has been like…I have a child under the age of 1, who needs water to survive and can’t just “deal with it”. I’ve had a housekeeper drive over an hour to come and end up having to drive back because she couldn’t clean (I compensated her for gas, but what a waste of her precious time).

I’ve called the city and the public works department with no avail, no response and worst, no change in operating principles.

As a tax paying citizen in the city of Houston, I’m appalled at the way this department is run. No communication on water outages is UNACCEPTABLE. I will pursue all avenues to make my and my neighbors concerns heard and addressed. Fixing the ship starts with with the top, Carol Haddock and her direct report Yvonne Forrest. Both of who I believe are unfit for this position.

Neither 311 (nor anything associated with the City of Houston) resolves initiated cases/complaint reports before closing them out. Their "fact finding" is basically taking lies from contractors at their word. Pathetic.

The city doesn't care. I was a supporter of our current mayor (Sylvester Turner), but he and his ilk are leading this city into the gutter (almost literally). Vote out these idiots and hope there maybe a change (the other side is probably just as useless).

Maybe instead just move out of Houston.
