This place is a total gem. Incredibly well-curated (and well organized by size!) vintage items in the cutest shop. The prices were also very reasonable. I highly recommend!

One of the nicest vintage stores I’ve ever had the pleasure of shopping at. The pieces are unique and the buyer(s) clearly have an eye for vintage fashion- I was oohing and aahhing over nearly everything. I loved the attention to detail with styling outfits, so much so that I bought an entire outfit directly off the mannequin! I also loved that they put the measurements and era on every tag- such a nice touch since vintage sizes differ so greatly from the vanity/fast fashion sizing you find today. I picked up some lovely pieces that I have been really enjoying. If you love vintage clothing, this is the place for you!

Tons of vintage and retro clothing. Not much by way of home goods, but it seems like people don’t come to this store looking for that.

Awesome variety of clothing but prices are a bit out of my league. Maybe for a special occasion.

How Sweet It Was Vintage is one of my favorite shops for all things vintage!! The employees are knowledgeable, kind, and friendly. The merchandise is clearly selected with a true love for vintage, and the prices are fair!! The owner, Crissy, does an Instagram show selling vintage items based on a theme every Sunday at 11 AM that is simply delightful and filled with fun facts on vintage. You can purchase vintage from the comfort of your home, and if you don't live in Tucson, she can mail you your purchases. Furthermore, she donates a percentage of the proceeds of every show to a different cause!!! I also love how thoughtful and conscientious they are around keeping our community safe while shopping, limiting the number of shoppers at one time and requiring masks. Quite wonderful and a real Tucson gem!! <3

One of my favorite stores in Tucson! The owner is so sweet and knowledgeable. The pieces are always beautifully picked and curated. They are also very decently price considering this is not a thrift store. I love the live they do on Instagram every Sunday morning where you can snatch exclusive pieces.

I've spent a lot of time in film making towns where vintage shops are a big niche market. How Sweet It Was Vintage is one of the better shops I've been to. A wide variety of items ranging from the 1910's (at least from what I saw when I visited). Almost every item was tagged with a description that included the use and year. The necktie cabinet was amazing. I naturally gravitated to the silk vintage items, which were affordably priced. If you are looking for vintage clothing for film, theater, or personal enjoyment, How Sweet It Was Vintage is an excellent place to start.
