I was supposed to have my interview, Caller ID doesn’t show that it is Unemployment so I was waiting for my voicemail for them to acknowledge they are from IDES so I can answer it and talk to them. All that they left in the voicemail was ā€œokie dokieā€ And they hung up. I called IDES to let them know what happened and the person who called me left in my notes that it rang once and went straight to voicemail. I was watching my phone go through my whole process and I was waiting for the voicemail. Now I am waiting for a call back because of a lie.

They weren't answering calls during covid at all. Missed out on some money when I was unemployed during that time. When I tried to back date it the guys gave me attitude and said I've been paid for the entire time I was unemployed which isn't true.

I understand that there’s varies people that come in and try to play the system and such but there’s those who are actually genuinely trying to file due to very unfortunate circumstances with work and with that said the unprofessional and rude attitude by the manager was very uncalled for. It’s not the way you ā€œtalkā€ and it’s not ā€œassertivenessā€ there’s a big difference between having a customer service voice and just being plain rude. Since nobody and even him even knew the circumstances of my situation it was a little harder to file a claim. I was also told to bring certain documents to my appointment when I called them and then when I get there to file, they told me I was missing some documents that I wasn’t told over the phone to bring. I was still able to file a claim but had a harder time to do so with the missing documentation and the unprofessionalism with the manger just overall made everything difficult. If the front desk tells me to go back and file without the missing documents then that shouldn’t be a huge issue with filing, but if there is a issue with that then don’t let your front desk send people to file then, plain and simple. Fix the guidance and the way things work and you don’t have to be rude to anyone who’s trying to claim. Worse management. Horrible miscommunication within employees and manager.

I called to get an appointment but I guess there is no way. No one answers and the telemessage doesn't give you that option.

I had to visit this facility because since IDS changed their online system I had trouble registering. When I got to the facility I was greeted by a male security, very nice person, I can’t say the same about the hispanic male that checked my name off a list that he had. This guy was really rude.

After that my matter was taken care by a gentleman and a young lady. The gentleman was training this young lady. If I recall correctly her name is Angelica (sorry if I got your name wrong).
Overall experience was good minus that rude hispanic guy at the front door check in. I was in and out and my matter was taken care of.

One more thing that I notice was this hispanic lady that was using a computer. What I was able to understand she was looking for work. Problem was that she couldn’t communicate in English and her computer skills were not too good. Even though there was several Spanish speaking employees in the building not 1 of them helped her out. SMH.

Other than that….In my opinion I think this appointment process is better than the system that they had before.

5 STARS 🌟 to the male security guard at the front door and the 2 people that helped me with my problem.
THANK YOU!

The people here at this place need new manager that’s why it’s has a 1 star rating. These people are clearly just taking my hard earned state tax dollars just to sit in their behinds and not do anything. Would really appreciate if they could fire Shawna at the front desk for the fact that she is acting like she is extremely busy with ZERO clients. I set up an appointment just to be turned away from the weak management team that’s they have established over the years given that there rate is under 2/5. Clearly there is some looking into that’s should be done because that is some of the easiest money that someone could possibly earn by just sitting back and not doing anything for 8 hours and just to get paid by the peoples state tax dollars. I feel highly disrespected because these people didn’t really show any initiative to try to help me when they don’t even provide a service it’s pretty ridiculous thats we the let people like this have good jobs.

I initially called for assistance filing after unsuccessful registration attempts online, I called the number that I was advised to call yesterday and I am STILL waiting for a callback.

Today, decided to go to the IDES office in Burbank, IL for assistance and the DOOR IS LOCKED and no one is granted access unless they have a scheduled appointment. I've never been so politcally disappointed.

Well, what can I say. I wouldn't blame this location as they are only following rules that have been in place. They will no longer take your name and number. The location isn't seeing anyone. Employees are in the building but not for you. Calling is a waste of time. Illinois is just hella behind on this matter in extremely difficult time for a lot of us.
