It is truly disappointing to encounter such a lack of professionalism and compassion from the individuals working here. I was calling on behalf of a friend in genuine need of these benefits, only to be met with indifference and unwillingness to assist. None of the contacts provided were helpful, nor did they seem to care. It’s unacceptable that such critical positions are filled with people who refuse to provide meaningful support. I sincerely hope leadership takes action to replace them ALL with competent professionals who actually serve the community with the diligence and empathy this role demands.

Horrible horrible horrible experience. If I want to get a hold of anyone I always have to make the drive up there. No one answers the phone. And they lose your redetermination paperwork and blame it on you. I’m going to start going up to the Library and make copies of EVERYTHING so if they say they never got it…

If I could give 0 stars I would. I hate that every 6 months I have to do redetermination. I honestly wouldn't have such a problem with doing so if they didn't make it so difficult and time consuming. I don't have the time to sit on hold for 2 hours! And when I go online to do it they want to tell me I'm entering MY information incorrectly! My info has not changed. I think I would know! This is utterly ridiculous.

This office is by far the worst I have ever seen in my life. They have you on hold for 2 to 3 hours at a time. Then when they get to the phone they can't help you cuz I be on hold for so long for them to come to the phone to tell me to go online or come in the office. They need to do a better job or hire some more staff.

they’re usually efficient and helpful in person but when ur on the phone, they don’t answer. it can be ringing for hours and they won’t pickup but when u go in person, they ain’t got nobody there! so why aren’t they picking up calls? i got to travel all the way here to ask a dang question

edit: called them last week and waited 1.5 hours to set up an interview appointment. My interview appt was today at 11am but they didn’t call the number on my appointment notice (their fault). I waited and never received a call so I called back and waited 1.5hrs AGAIN and the lady told me that she told her manager that they called the wrong number. She told me that they will give me a call back TODAY for my interview. Waited all day for the call and never received it. This isn’t the first time this place told me i’d get a call back just so they can end the phone call with me and not deal with it. I have a newborn, I cant just come to the DHS whenever i want so i wait hours on the phone just for you guys to hang up on me or lie to me that someone will get back to me. Now i need to call again and wait hours to set up another interview even though i’m not at fault for messing up the first one! So unnecessarily frustrating and stressful.

After looking at all the bad reviews for this place I was actually a little intimidated to speak to anyone at this location but I have to say the experience I had was absolutely wonderful! I spoke to Social worker Tania Jimenez and she was such a blessing! She was such a sweetheart and super kind! I can't say enough great things about Miss Jimenez! This place definitely needs more beautiful, sweet and kind people like her! She was the best! She definitely needs a raise/promotion! May God Bless Her for such wonderful work and professionalism and of course for being Awesome and taking care of My situation. May God Bless You Miss Tania Jimenez!

Ms. Montgomery was fantastic! There were changes the needed to be made to my case after I missed my redetermination, and she was incredibly patient and helpful! Also, this facility ran like a well oiled machine. Very quick and efficient in comparison to years ago. Big thank you to Ms. Montgomery!!!

So I just sat on the phone for 25 minutes to get with a lady that’s trying to cut me off and then doesn’t even give me the information I need about my case and I go to ask her what her name is because she wasn’t doing her job and She hangs up on me. Why work there if you don’t have the patience to talk to people and don’t give them the right information!!
