True Southern Hospitality

We've been in Uvalda for a few weeks working on our Skoolie conversion and have found ourselves frequently stopping by Ladson's Quick Stop for everything—from hot food to vapes, beer, milk, and all the essentials you need to get by. Every single visit has been a pleasure!

The staff has been incredibly friendly and welcoming, even during the recent hurricane when they were running on a generator. Despite the challenging circumstances, they kept things going with great service and a smile.

I noticed another review from someone named Bruce, who claimed this store was charging $30 for a case of water after the hurricane. While I didn’t buy water, I did purchase plenty of other items, including gas once their pumps were back up, and I saw no price gouging whatsoever. In fact, nothing seemed overpriced, and I didn’t witness any instances of withholding gas. It’s possible Bruce may have confused this place with another establishment in the area, though I can’t confirm or deny the rumors.

This place truly embodies the Southern hospitality that everyone talks about. We can't wait to stop by again the next time we're in town!

Absolutely despicable behavior from this place after the catastrophic damage from Hurricane Helene. The owner of this place was charging $30 for a case of water when families were desperate for water in the area. He was also reserving gas for his friends when people all over the community needed it.

I and my family have done business here for 25+ years, great people. Friendly, helpful, gracious. Store is clean and well stocked.

They offer a wide range of merchandise from gas, diesel, to grocery items and beer/wine, cigarettes, vapes and accessories, pet food, hunting supplies,etc.

They also serve breakfast, pizza and special orders.

the cashier lady was nice but the guy in the back fussed at me and my friends to leave saying “we’re about to close y’all need to leave” even though they closed in 1 hour and other people was still coming in and going shopping. we were NOT causing a scene. i think this is absolutely rude and bad costumer service as we were PAYING COSTUMERS. even tho we did not pick out what we wanted in point 2 seconds we were told to leave. as young people with their friends we were in fact talking, but not making a scene or being unnecessarily loud so i think it was very unprofessional how we were kicked out. it has not only made us mad but hurt our feelings as we were just trying to pick out what we wanted and use the bathroom. this store is not welcoming.

Everyone who was working there was very nice and the store was very clean and the hot food that they had was very good I believe I have been there 4 times or more and they all are always nice and service with a smile and thank you

I absolutely love this store. Customer service is always great, in interior and exterior of the store is clean, and I love that he sell Faygo pop and Uncle Rays chips. Great store to visit.
