Larry’s Tires did an awesome job. We thought we were going to have to buy a new car and a friend referred us to Larry’s Tires. We came all the way from Concord. They got us a used engine for a reasonable price and my car is running like new. No need to purchase a new car. We are extremely happy with their service and would highly recommend.

I had an excellent experience at Larry’s Tire Shop in El Sobrante! I came in with a nail in my tire, and Ivan quickly assessed that it was a safety hazard and needed to be replaced. Not only did they take care of that right away, but Ivan also noticed I was due for an oil change and helped me out with that as well. The service was super quick, and the customer service was top-notch. Ivan was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everything was taken care of. Highly recommend this shop for fast, reliable, and honest service!

My tire was slowly leaking air. I went to Larry's and the guy there quickly found a nail in it. In about 10 minutes he took the tire off, fixed and put it back on. It cost $25. Super fast service at a great price. Love this place!

You know how they say, Don't judge a book by its cover? In this case, that is absolutely what you should do. I went against my better judgment based off of the good reviews on Google. I just needed a simple tire patch, and other reviewers indicated this could be done.

The good: The gentleman who initially greeted me was friendly, and made it seem like tire patch would be a non-issue. The tire patch seems to be holding (although it hasn't been really tested), and it was applied relatively quickly for $25 cash (no receipt, so felt really shady, but I was given an option to also pay credit).

The not-so-good: Driving in, the ground was muddy and pot-holed. The service bays also seemed similarly dingy and in disrepair. Both are not a miss in my book since that just meant they were being used for their purpose. We also opted to sit outside in the fresh air instead of the waiting room (I think they have a couch).

The bad: Post-patch, I observed deep gouges in the face of the wheel. I have poor hearing, so I surmised that when they removed the wheel from the car, or the tire from the wheel rim they dropped it on the wheel face and I didn't hear it (or didn't discern it from normal stuff you would hear in a mechanic's bay). That or they just haphazardly used their tools and made the damage.

Now, the car isn't brand new by any stretch, but it's well taken care of. For a shop to just damage it so non-nonchalantly without making mention of it really gets to me (and who isn't picky about the way their stuff is treated when they've paid for it?). I didn't want to bring it up because I honestly just wanted to get out of there. So despite all the good reviews you might see: BEWARE. I have a feeling I will need to scrutinize future reviews probably due to family and friends piling on their fake reviews.
