I am being genuinely nice about my ratings, right now. Today, I came in for an interview from my appointment that I made it a while ago. It was a quick process in the beginning, but after I checked in at the front right after the security check— I was told to go to room A which is for those managing Calwork, or anything related to that specific area. I had a few questions regarding wait time along with questions about my past applications, as I walked up to the table located in the center of the room, these two women (one with the long hair with highlights/Armenian & the other with orange hair/ Hispanic) you can't miss these workers because they're sitting at the center quad tables— they were very unprofessionally rude. They did not show empathy, nor acknowledge me; they just brushed people off with their terrible behavior and continued to talk with each other while trying to look “busy”. This was my first time coming into this location, and ever to a DPSS office. I was disgusted by these workers’ attitude. You girlies are working to help families, but if you both are going to start your day with that kind of behavior, then reconsider this job… you can’t just treat guests poorly just because you don't want to deal with them— like why even work within the county if you guys don't want to help people?¿ To be exact, it was the female with the pink shades keyboard, and the other chunky Hispanic chick with the intercom headset. The Hispanic girl later on called me to the front, then decided to change her mind and made me wait longer. I later went up to ask her why she couldn't assist me if she called me because I had work later at 3 PM. She said she accidentally called my name, and that I would have to sit back down and wait for “my social worker” very harshly. She didn't even want to hear what I asked or have to say, so she decided to put on her headset and ignore me while I was still standing right in front of her. Crap, these workers are stuck up and snobby. Very unprofessional, they seem meaner than the ones at the USPS or DMV LMAO. Maybe because I'm Asian, or it's the God’s light in me that irritated their demons. Thankfully, God took over the situation and redirected me to this nice man who goes by the name of Derek. He assisted me throughout the appointment and accommodated me. He was very professional, and honest. He was probably one of the nicest workers I came across in this field. I was very grateful and blessed to be helped by someone with good intentions and outstanding character— this man received a great review from the survey I gave after my interview. If you guys want great services, ask for Derek. Thank you.
