I stayed at MacArthur Place for my 40th birthday. I’ve always wanted to go to California wine country, and this place exceeded my expectations. The property is beautiful, and the rooms were great too. From check-in to check-out, the service was amazing. Housekeeping went above and beyond when they cleaned our room when we were out wine tasting. We ate at restaurants all over, and Layla on the property was amazing as everything else in the area. If you are not sure about where to stay, I actually prefer Sonoma to Napa if your plans are still open. It has much more of a small town feel. I definitely hope to go back.

Wonderful hotel in the heart of Sonoma, walkable to the Square but nestled in a quiet neighborhood. Everything was perfect from our arrival to our departure. Cozy and spacious rooms, very comfortable beds, Layla was excellent for multiple meals (manager of the hotel and restaurant are so kind and accommodating!). House keeping was fantastic and willing to help immediately whenever we needed it. The gym had nice high quality equipment. Looking forward to returning for a trip in the summer to take advantage of the pool. Can’t recommend enough!

Me and my wife stayed there on my birthday. Was very satisfied with the room and the staff were very nice.The grounds are very nice whith a pool,sauna,and hot tub. They have some art work
displayed on the grounds which is nice to see as you are walking to your room. Had some drinks and appetizers in there lounge which was very nice. We only stayed one night so didn't get a chance to go to the restaurant.
Will definitely go back again and
stay at least 2 nights to enjoy everything they have to offer.

This hotel has the best service I have had at a hotel in a long time. Every single person was friendly and helpful. My group was there during a horrible rainstorm and all the staff helped make it as low key as could be. They went out of their way in every way possible. The rooms were very nicely equipped. The restaurant burger night was delicious. Michael at the front desk and David the valet provided outstanding over the top service. I hope I get to return someday!

The property is magical, the accommodations are stellar, and the only thing that could possibly be better, was the service. We went MacArthur Place with a group of 12 (6 couples) for a weekend getaway in wine country and we couldn't have been more pleased. We used their fitness center/spa, dined in the restaurant, and booked our excursions and dinner through the hotel concierge. It was a perfect weekend and we can't wait to come back for more.

This was our 1st trip to the beautiful Sonoma. We stayed at Macarthur Hotel and Spa, this a stunning resort style accomodation. The rooms are a generous with a lovely bathroom, we also had an outdoor shower and bath. Amenities in the bathroom are a generous size and great quality. The gardens are immaculate, it feels like you on a resort away from the rest of the world. Has a gorgeous heated pool with enough lounge chairs, a hot spa, towels, sunblock and ice water. They have a spa and restaurant onsite. We did try and get a massage but unfortunately they were booked. If you do stay here, I would recommend booking in advance. Our rate included breakfast which was very convenient for us. The concierge recommended great dinner restaurants. We did dine at Layla one evening. We felt the vegetarian pasta could have been better. Overall it was one of the prettiest accomodation we have stayed at.

Beautiful property, great spa and really great cocktail masters in the bar! ||We live in Healdsburg and this quick one night stay was perfect. ||Especially with the locals benefits durning winter. ||Our suite was so spacious, great shower and beauty products and of course - a fireplace.

The guest room with outdoor tub and shower was fabulous even in January. The brisk desert mornings meant steamy showers and a very zen way to start (or end) the day! The heated pool and hot tub are a plus and the bar bevvies and food were delicious.
