Normally, I read reviews but this time I just read the first few reviews about "fast service" and "good customer service". But the first few reviews must only needed a tire patch which any whole in a wall tire place can do.

I normally do not leave reviews but this review is NEEDED.

I am new to the area and I made a 9 am appointment to have my brakes replaced and oil change. When I first arrived the "white guy" checked me in and told me the guy that does breaks is late. I waited a 1 1/2 hours to realize my car still was sitting and never touched. I asked for an update and he just told me the guy was late. After, I voiced the issue with lack of professionalism and customer service, I was helped me another guy. This guy was much more polite but the bigger issue I ad with this place is that everything was an issue and long story short they kept my car overnight , I had to miss work, and today I called about my car and they said they ordered the wrong parts and now I have no idea if I can have my car back I. Time to pick my son up from school! This has been a complete shit show ! And I still have no car.
But I bet they will want all 1500 dollars they charging!

When I get my car I'm not coming back. I can only hope that the work they do on my car is better than the professionalism as I have two toddlers I drive with everyday.

I had a leak in the tire due to a nail and thought I needed a patch. Come to find out it was in the sidewall and they were not able to patch it and I needed a tire. Thomas was great, he recommended the best tire for my vehicle. The work was done within the time frame and the price and quality of work was top notch. The prices are great. I highly recommend Mavis and plan on doing business with them in the future. Thanks again to Thomas and all the great staff at Mavis!

I stopped in last week when I noticed my steering wheel shaking when I would brake from any appreciable speed. And my truck was pulling slightly to the right despite only having gotten an alignment done at another Mavis shop in NJ just about three weeks prior. I walked in with no appointment and got a diagnosis in short order: front rotors and brake pads needed replacing and the rears needed cleaning. The pulling to the right called for a small correction to my alignment, which they did for no cost. The work was done pretty quickly considering, and after having driven all the way back to NJ with no further concerns I'm glad I stopped in. Thank you Mavis of Wimauma!

I had an excellent experience at Mavis thanks to Thomas! I brought my car in with a screw stuck in my tire, and Thomas went above and beyond to help me out. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient in quickly assessing the situation. His customer service was top-notch, and I really appreciated how he made the whole process smooth and stress-free. I’ll definitely be returning for any future tire needs! Highly recommend Thomas and the team at Mavis Tires and Brakes!

Mixed feelings on my experience. I scheduled and dropped off my car at 9am 2/8 for a tire and alignment.
Pros:
• Warned me it would take a while, I asked if I could have it back before end of day, they said they’d try.
• Discounted me 40$ for not having my car done by end of 2/8
• Gentlemen at front desk on 2/8 was very professional and polite and helpful.

Cons:
• 26 hours between drop off and call for service complete (less of an issue because they gave me fair warning.
• Main issue was the attitude of the gentleman at front desk when I picked up today 2/9. He just told me my total, so I asked to look at the itemized list of charges (a good practice for anyone buying anything even if you’re not an accountant), he obliged then I mentioned the receipt didn’t show itemized totals. He goes “yeah but it all adds up the same.” I said “Okay but I’m not paying for something without seeing a breakdown.” He did go on to let me look at his computer screen for the breakdown but came across as judgmental about my lack of trust.

Overall I might be back but probably not.

Edit: the store manager, Carlos, just called me regarding my initial 3 star review here. He explained how their system is set up and clarified that showing the screen breakdown is their established procure to show itemized total breakdowns. My only criticism was the attitude of the employee who wasn’t initially eager to show me the itemized breakdown I was clearly asking for, and Carlos said he would be addressing this with his employee.

I definitely appreciated Carlos reaching out and addressing the issue with both myself and his team - that is good management. After the call I decided to update this review to 4 stars, though I now plan to visit again next time and leave a 5 star if all goes smoothly as I’d expect based on the positive interaction with mgmt.

I've been a customer of Mavis for nearly ten years. I've purchased full sets of tires a few times and replacement single tires plenty of times, and had a good experience. Until today....
I had an appointment at Wimauma, Florida location today, to drop my car off for four new tires. I called and asked if I could stay wtih the car and get a specific time to come in. I was told, "We're pretty busy, get here when you can." I asked again if I could set a time for later in the day and he said, "You can come in but I can't guarantee you there won't be a long wait." I told him I'd just find another company that would do my tires and to cancel my appointment. He said, "That's fine" and hung up. He never asked who I was, so I've still got an appointment there that won't be met.

So now I suppose by Mavis standards, it's now "fine" that their poor customer service prompts long-time customers like me to go to Firestone (where I have a specific appointment for tomorrow, and a better price on tires!).

My first time there and my last time, my experience was horrible. I got there at 3 PM to change four tires and took them two hours and 40 minutes mind you there was no one there. Everyone was on their phones. I would ask a ETA on how long it’s going to be and they would ignore me walk off and leave me in the waiting room. The tire guy literally was not doing nothing prior of me getting there you would think I’m paying top dollars for four brand new tires for a F350 over 1000 dollars in tire you would think the service will be a lot better, but just my experience do not recommend a corporate tire place. They suck.
