Update: Their customer service has gone from bad to worse. Customers just received a notice that effective 1/1/25 Midgard would be placing their own locks on each unit, with a third party vendor maintaining the unlock codes. In addition, they will be charging $5.99 per month per unit for the cost of the locks. So now, the security of your items is in the hands of a "third party vendor" and for less security you get to pay $71.88 a year to rent one of their locks.

Original: I had to change my cc number because of fraud. My two units were on the same card. One went through and the other got rejected. OK, fine. I straightened it out with the virtual manager and got both units over to the new card. Once I got through the gate I found a red lock on my unit so I had to run home to get the code emailed to me. Thanks for wasting my time and thanks for charging my $20 late fee for a week. Horrible way to treat customers.

About a year ago we signed up for a small 5x10 storage unit at $80 p/month Since then the price has gone up twice plus we are now required to pay $72 per year for a combination lock suppled by them when my own personal lock works just fine.

An update. Today I forgot my keys in the lock on my unit. By the time I got home Pete (the manager) had phoned to let me know and to tell me he had my keys in his office to be picked up at my convenience. Incredibly excellent and personal service from Pete and Midgard!
