I haven't actually eaten here because this location doesn't participate in the chain deals, discounts or promotions. They'll be glad to tell you. I found the staff not particularly friendly and one lady was sitting down watching the only other person work while there was a line.
If I ever give them another chance I'll report back. I want to like them but it's really disappointing to go in for an advertised deal and they do not honor it. I love other locations.

Please don't put the dutch crunch roll in the microwave to soften the bread!!! My daughter came home with a sandwich, in which the bread was a brick. Could not eat.

Tried to order a catered lunch and it’s impossible from the website. I called the El Cerrito store and no one answered the phone. So I guess we won’t be catering from Mr Pickles.

Came out to the bay for vacation and was told by a local about Mr. Pickle's and trust me they didn't disappoint! So many selection's of sandwich choices and the chocolate chip cookies they give you are delicious. Actually had Mr. Pickle's two day's in a row because it was that good!

I would not be writing such a negative review if I had not had multiple disappointing experiences with the staff. I love Mr. Pickles, and have had positive experiences in the San Rafael and Concord locations. However, every time I go to the El Cerrito location and order a gluten free wrap, a couple of the staff members who help me will complain quietly to themselves about my order. How it’s more difficult and they don’t want to do it. Overall, very unfriendly and they don’t look like they want to be there. Since it’s happened on several occasions, it makes me expect this type of behavior the next time I go.
