I got my first bird being an umbrella cockatoo.... and had no idea what I was doing. A friend referred me to Lara and since the beginning she has been nothing but amazing. Any questions I have had she always has an answer for everything. Even came to my house for some bird training sessions! Very professional, arrived on time. Great teacher. Me and my family go out of town often and she is always my first choice for my bird sitter. She even helped us out by driving an hour to pick her up to watch her! She takes care of her nails and always checks her wings. I get picture and video updates on how she is doing. She treats my bird like she is apart of her family. And since my bird is still a baby she even takes her and socializes her with her friends other birds!
If I could give her more than 5 stars I would. Thank you for being so wonderful!!

When I moved to Tampa I had to temporarily board my two birds, and after looking all over I finally found this wonderful, loving, educated boarding company!! My birds have fit in so well with the owner’s home and other birds, and all of my anxiety about my special-needs bird getting the quality of care she needs is completely gone. Their diets, enrichment, social interactions, and health are monitored at exceptional levels, plus she sends me regular updates on my birds! Lara gives them so much love, attention, and amazing care and I will definitely be referencing her for anyone who needs similar services.

Being new to the area, and almost giving up on finding a Bird Sitter, miraculously we found Lara Walker with My House.
From the first time I spoke with Lara on the phone, to then taking my birds for boarding, all our anxiety on leaving our birds just melted away.
Lara is truly an amazing person. She is so knowledgeable about nutrition, behavioral issues, and even provides helpful tips on interacting with your pet birds.
We were kept updated every day on our pets eating habits, interactions with the other birds, pictures and videos!
Lara truly made our birds part of her flock. I cannot give My House enough stars, and highly recommend their services to anyone looking for a loving, caring, and thoughtful Bird Sitting Service.

If I could give 6 stars I would… Laura with My House has been a Godsend. Right now I have a lot going on with my business so I don’t have the time to properly care for my black caped conure Floyd. I knew I needed to board him for the time being but I didn’t want to leave him at a bird store where it’s SUPER loud all of the time and where he wouldn’t get any attention or cleaning of his cage. Floyd has been at my house for a little over two months and is happy as can be. I always get sent videos, photos, and updates of how he is doing. Laura even goes above and beyond by finding him foam toys he likes as he is really picky. I can sleep well at night knowing my bird is getting the same (if not more) love and care than I give him. If you are in the Tampa area and need to board your bird it’s a no brainer to go here.
