First, I’m going to say this I have been coming to nations burger since I was a kid. I am 65 years old. Up until recently, the burgers no longer taste like nation burgers at least not at the San Leandro location on Washington Boulevard. You have employees in there they do not know how to cook a simple hamburger. They are so much more interested in getting a burger out then making it properly which causes the burger to be extremely dry the lettuce is always limp as soon as you get it and I don’t understand that the french fries are awful. They had an odor. I don’t know if it was old grease or what.
What I noticed was the two ladies that were cooking the food was poking holes in the meat. All of the juices were draining out of it. They even went as far as putting a bun and the condiments on top of the burger and pressing down the burger with the spatula which smashes the bun and that might explain why the lettuce is also limp, but what really freaked me out is when she scooped it up she turned it over where the bun side was on her hand, Poking hoes in the meat again, and then put it back on the grill, and continue to smash the bun. I called the store and express my concern. He asked me why I didn’t call that night was his first question. I told him well. I’m calling you now. I asked to speak to a manager. He said no one was available and from my understanding there’s never a manager there lease is what I was led to believe. I also expressed to him that it was way too much mayonnaise on the burger, ( Now I’m telling you I’ve been getting these burgers since I was in my teens so I should know) and just a dot of mustard. His response to me is that well we don’t put. We only put mustard for the seasoning, his exact words and that the mayonnaise, I really can’t remember what he said about the mayonnaise, but he just dismissed that it was just too much. I’m just gonna say that. then he tells me, that he will replace the burgers, but he won’t replace the fries. I’m gonna have to buy another pack of fries. I immediately told him I’m not buying another pack of fries that is not why I’m calling. I’m not calling to get a free meal. I’m calling to get what I paid for which was a burger that’s edible and that burger was not edible. This is not my first time having that type of experience with this particular Location. The time before that the burger was dry, and that was approximately three weeks ago. And I really did not appreciate having to tell him that I was not trying to get anything free because he kind of made that indication more than once. When I came and got the burger that was the replacement the lettuce was lamp and the bun was a little smashed so I don’t know what’s going on. Read your reviews because I’m not the only one making a complaint. If they don’t want to take the time to make the burgers Properly if you see sales going down then you’ll know exactly why

My hubby's has found memories of going to nations when he worked in the bay area. We were traveling through there on vetrans day and were very ashamed that your restaurant does not honor our vetrans even on vetrans day. So no we wont be patronizing your establishment until you do

The Daly City store has the best breakfast and the friendliest, hardest working staff I have ever encountered.

Great service, even when they're crowded. I used to clean and degrease the place at my old job so i know how clean the grill and kitchen is.
