Very weirdly run company. They have no online scheduling system. You have to call and when you do no one answers but then they send you a text message asking for a deposit for an appointment you haven't even booked. You haven't even spoken to anyone before they're asking for money, kinda seems like a scam. They have a picture of prices but tell you a higher price. I asked what could be done for the price in the picture, Leti said she would ask and never got back to me. Very rude and poor service.

Went and not only was able to purchase hair from the beauty supply I was able to set an appointment with Zahara for the very next day which was a last-minute appointment for my birthday and she got me in and got me out. Looking good smelling good feeling good I will be returning they are a bit on the expensive side. but if you calculate the drive all the way to Oakland or San Francisco where there's more urban hair supplies the gas is going to take you to get there and the snacks and food or whatever else is going to take you to get there while you're there it will cost you the same amount just to go ahead and buy it right here from Nefertiti's. and you will be putting the money into a black on business as well as back into Santa Clara county and until our community. There are a few more hair stylists there that do just braids and some of them do makeup so you can look them up on Booksy or go down to the shop off of McKee and capital in San Jose and just give them a look around over their things and just talk to somebody Miss Kim is very nice she was so nice and so helpful and so patient.

Lawonna does such a great job with my hair. My dreads started off really short and within 6-months Ive seen exponential growth. The staff here is friendly and very welcoming.

I came here on a Sunday when it clearly states it’s open. It is not. What a waste of gas & time! Would not recommend. UPDATE: You just said you’re open on Sundays from 10am-5pm yet you’re not as I was there at 11am til like 11:15 trying to call no reply, trying to open the door-it was locked. So please stop lying to people or at least do your job better. Thanks.

What a gem this place is! I went to a couple of other hair supplies in the area and was less than impressed with their selection and underwhelmed by the sub-standard customer service. Kim at Nefertiti was extremely knowledgeable and professional. Her selection of hair and hair care products was huge. She was very helpful and guided me to choose the right type and color of twists for mu upcoming appointment. I highly recommend you make Nefertiti your supply of choice as I have!

Called and got an appointment right away. The location is close. Jasmine was very quick, only took 5 hours to finish. The only issue I have is the hair she recommended was NOT what I wanted. I wanted Marley braids so she asked me to buy Marley hair. I was confused because the pictures I saw was not the texture I wanted. She said it would match my hair better. It doesn’t. It’s itchy and feels cheap and my hair does not blend at all. The hair cost me another $40. Next time, I will use the hair I want. Especially when I am paying $300 for a style.

I've been in San Jose for 6 years and didn't know there was a black owned beauty supply store. I went in to purchase a wig that will fit since I have locs. The owner was very helpful and kind. She helped me find what I was looking for. Also I was able to try on some wigs unlike these other stores. The wigs are good quality too. I will definitely be going back.
