We found this coffee roastery and did not know what to expect when we first arrived. But wow, when we opened the front door, the aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans made our mouths water. We met Gil the owner and he was very helpful, providing us with our first two varieties of coffee (Ugandan, and Colombian). What a great experience! Thank you for having this great coffee available for visitors to the Island!

This place is the real deal, and Gil knows his stuff when it comes to coffee and roasting the beans. His shop smells heavenly. Do yourself a favor and order the freshest, best tasting coffee you've ever had. You can call ahead and pick up or order online to ship (whole bean or ground). You will never want to go back to that store-bought stuff again. Support local and enjoy great coffee.

These guys are the best! Great tasting coffee! The absolute best to work with. They are very honest! I had a big order and they caught a mistake on the pricing and refunded the money without me even asking! I'm so glad I found these guys!

We found Nuanz while visiting family in Fernandina Beach and stopped by to see what they were all about. They let us try a cup of expresso and it was amazing!!! We then purchased a pound of ground Cello Expresso to take home with us. We loved it so much that we just ordered two more pounds and had it shipped. It arrived very fast! We will continue to order their coffee. It’s the best!!!

Out in the middle of nowhere is a specialist coffee roaster primarily serving high end restaurants in a converted house. And it's open to the public! When you walk in the smell of roasting coffee beans is incredible. Jute bags of fresh green beans are neatly lined up waiting to be custom roasted. Husband and wife team, very friendly. They'll ask how you like your coffee and how you brew it and right on the spot make up a pound of coffee ground just for you. Around $14 a pound for fresh custom brewed coffee is a bargain. Bet you can't go just once! Make a unique gift for the coffee lovers on your list.
Of course I'm hooked. Can't go back to store bought coffee. Didn't realize coffee could have such a complex taste. I'm still exploring new tastes and the selection changes every season depending on what's coming in FRESH!!

My husband and I stopped in to Nuanz this morning and were greeted warmly by Gil, the owner of Nuanz, and his wife. The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans was exquisite. Gil, a gentleman with vast experience roasting beans (since the late 80s) took the time to show us his equipment and explain the coffee roasting process in detail. His vast knowledge of coffee, its chemical properties and the nuances of the roasting process was impressive. He gave us each a wonderful mug of coffee (roasted yesterday and brewed freshly just for us). We attempted to purchase a lb of his organic Colombian roast to bring home back in Boston. When we attempted to pay him, Gil insisted the first bag is on the house. This is true southern hospitality. Gil really made our morning with his kindness and generosity. Please support this local business. 🙂
