My friends and I walked in about 15 minutes before closing, intending to browse for a few minutes and return the next day to make our purchases. We were mindful of the closing time and had no intention of inconveniencing your staff.

However, when I picked up a pair of jeans, an employee immediately told me that she would handle the item and that I shouldn’t touch.I understand she didn’t want to refold anything. Shortly after, she told me “If you want to try on anything, we close in 5 minutes, so you’d better HUFF it.” This tone was rude and unprofessional, making us feel unwelcome rather than valued as potential customers.

We had planned to return today and spend a significant amount, but after this interaction, we reconsidered. I wanted to share this feedback because I believe customer service plays a key role in a boutique’s reputation, and this experience left a negative impression. I hope this can be addressed to ensure future customers feel more welcomed.

Amazing store with beautiful clothes and wonderful staff! I visited Paloosh earlier today for the first time, and staff members Sara & Heather were extremely welcoming and helpful, bringing great energy to the store. Sara pointed me toward a very cute & elegant summer dress on sale for a whopping 60% off which I ended up purchasing — AMAZING buy; I cannot wait to wear it!! Round of applause for Sara’s excellent styling assistance; Paloosh has definitely secured a spot on my mental list of favorite places to shop for clothes. The clothes here are elegant, chic, and high quality, and I would highly recommend this store for anyone looking for classically fashionable & timeless pieces. 10/10

I love shopping here when I am in town. They do an absolutely amazing job of putting together quality capsule wardrobe pieces for me that fit my body type. I only wish they were also in DC or I could do a virtual option to buy more!

Very poor customer care and bad experience. I’m coming out of the shop today after opening my new necklace which I bought yesterday and broke even before I could wear it one time. They did not only not take responsibility but questioned whether I broke it on purpose. I love Carmel and come back every year, this is the last time I put foot in this shop. Sad, these type of experiences are the worst for the local commerce.

Editing the review a month later to share that I connected with the jewelry brand who not only informed that the necklace had one year guarantee - too bad Paloosh didn’t mention it - but also replaced the necklace for a new one. This is good business vision and customer care. Well done Gigi Glozeau! Paloosh sadly a lot to learn, wish you luck

Came in on my birthday to get a dress and had a great experience. They had a lot of LoveShackFancy, Vince, Staud bags, and other trending brands stocked. We were helped by the saleswoman who I presumed is the owner and she was lovely! Will definitely be back during our next trip to Carmel.

Great store with beautiful selection. However, I’ll never go back. It was embarrassing how rude the sales women at this store were to me while I was trying to make a purchase. These women need a lesson on etiquette and sadly it seems like no one ever taught them “don’t judge a book by it’s cover”. I purchased something at the store because as a tourist, well I wanted something special from Carmel. I left the store feeling weird and uncomfortable. What successful business leaves customers feeling that way? Disgusting
