Brought in brand name new with tag clothes and they said they were “over stocked” after making me wait while they “process them”. Like if you are over stocked then just say it from the beginning. But the real kicker is I was just in there 2 days ago and they wanted my older used clothes then but apparently not the new with tag items 🙄 and overstocked is crazy when they have barely any plus size friendly items in that store but have a ton of small/medium stuff but okkkkkkk

First time ever trying to sell clothes to a store. The concept is pretty cool. You can try your luck to sell any good condition clothing or shoes to this store and they will pay you in cash for the items. The girl at the desk told me items are priced at a discounted rate to customers and you receive about half of that back. Their machine prices the items so you don't feel like you're ripped off. The customer service here is a little odd, only because the employees seem very robotic with how they respond. I suppose they have to use certain words verbatim, I'm unsure.

However, the reason I said "try your luck" is because the employees choose which clothes they accept. The clothes have to be "trending" or "in style" and it's to their discretion.

When you walk in, they take your phone number, they text you a form to fill out, and you wait about 35 minutes for them to go through and price your items.

Unfortunately, they did not accept any of my items here no matter being unworn with the tags on. I would suggest calling to see what they are accepting to save yourself the trip and time. I'm going to try another location like OUT of the Closet before I just donate them.

My review is more so about the workers in this store i feel they should look more into who they hire to work together. i felt disrespected while shopping a couple nights ago i was walking around and felt as if i was being judged or made fun of very rude. Anytime id pass by id get starred and laughed very loudly and looked at in a rude matter while they stood in a circle along with whispering very unprofessional will not be coming back

Doesn’t actually look through your clothes, go to a different location like sanford. I dropped off this bag and they were done in 5 minutes. There’s shoes, jeans, shorts etc. No way they went through each item.

Extremely rude staff. Came an hour before they closed and treated me like I committed a crime. Followed me around the store and invaded my personal space the entire time. One of the staff members was less than 5 feet from me and I told her she was making me uncomfortable. If you rush me out of your store- I won’t buy merchandise. Do better. (I was out of the store 15 mins before close)

Definitely a good spot to get new and used LuLu, Disney items etc.
they have some big brands on their own racks which is what I Ike, I’m wiling to dig if needed but it was nice not to have too. Most of the cloths I saw were in great shape. We spent a good amount of money, mostly on myself but also on some gifts for my niece who loves lulu(I don’t have a new lulu budget) and my husband got some under armor gear for a great deal! I’ll be back for more.

I’ve been going to this Plato’s since Freshmen year of Highschool. And for the past few times I’ve tried to sell with them, they take nothing. I’ve totaled how much all my clothes that I brought in and it totaled $300. And you are telling me that all of them were out of style or not for that age group. I am 22 years old. I brought in Prada, super dry and a couple of other expensive name brands all brand new from 90s to now, and they took nothing. They have horrible attitudes and the cost that they flip these clothes for are ridiculous. Torn up and falling apart clothes they will triple and sell. But classy and chic items with life aren’t welcome. I also read another review where the lady said almost the exact thing and they pointed her into the direction of a “older”women's store. I wish any of you females up at that store would have said something like that to me.

I frequent this Plato's Closet since it's close. The cash for clothes program was great and pricing was fair. Every time I go there's always something to buy. Staff is always helpful as well.
