4 Day work week for inspectors. Resulting in many nights of me being in inspections beyond 5:00 p.m.. I begin work at 7:00 a.m. in case their inspection is at 8:00 a.m.. this may not be so bothering if the inspector s were to have the decency to at least bring a dinner. Perhaps pompano Beach building department could list their inspection time frames 24 hours in advance. All the gas that I would not be burning up could save a lot of turtles. The staff is great tho.

All these people leaving 5 star reviews for the city of pompano beach bldg dpt... and the positive comments -pretty surreal and impossible to accept. Most of the city officials I had the displeasure to deal with are as incompetent and indolent as any city official throughout the country and elsewhere in the world. It takes a certain kind of person -not the intelligent, sensible kind- to do bureaucratic work that has one goal and one goal only: to threaten city dwellers with fines and ordinances (which they may or may not enforce, depending on their mood),

I am a contractor specializing in concrete restoration and my business is located in Pompano Beach. The team in the business Tax and permitting department have been great. Especially BTR, to the point where I sent an email to her boss, letting him know how helpful she was. The only thing I could say slightly negative, is I never received an email back from her boss. I would have liked to know he received it.

I have submitted my permit application for over 7 months and it’s still open. The WORST building Dept. I have ever dealt with. The 2 inspectors who came to my home were so rude, and annoying. One of them was nitpicking on everything he could, and when asked a normal question they answered back with an attitude. This inspector who is an older guy, walked in to my home like he was FBI and was going to look for top secret information, the worst guy ever. Over all a very bad experience, and it’s making me to never ever buy any real estate in Pompano Beach again. They should not represent the City, very bad inspectors.
