Best cakes in town in my opinion. The cakes are not overly sweet. They feel moist and not dry. We order a cake every time we come here and of course, the pastries as well. This place is very popular always full when we come. Definitely worth the wait. Love coming over the holidays because they give you the red box with the birthday cakes. One of my top favorite bakeries.

I visited it 3 times while I was staying in Downey and visiting places nearby. There was always a line everytime (all 3 times were different : lunch dinner and late night ) but the lines moves fast with two sides of counter dealing with incoming customers. The bakery is good , coffee was just okay ,but good variety and inexpensive so could try different items every time.
Loved :Guava rose pastry,Tiramisu cup,Mango Mousse bomb ,Chocolate hazelnut eclair (just so yumm),chocolate eclair(great),tres leche slice, and sandwich was nice.Definitely must go place when nearby .
We did try the cheese potato balls but as it has meat (which we don't eat) so had to leave that.

I went there 3 times while I was staying near to the area. The bakeries are good , coffee was okay but great Orange juices
I had tried the French toast Cuban style cause the photos really inviting but to be honest
It was just okay or so so
But the bakeries there are varieties and inexpensive like other places
Staffs are nice and welcoming
Will definitely go again

I was sent Porto’s from my work as an end of year gift and the bake-at-home frozen pastries are simply excellent! I’ve loved the Cheese Rolls (which were surprisingly sweet, not savory), and am really excited to try the cookies and other rolls!

The atmosphere is nice, the ambiance is breathtaking with a nice view, the food was delicious but the only thing sucks was the parking. It will get crowded so remember to order online for takeout

Had to grab a couple boxes of the famous cheese rolls from Portos my last trip up in Los Angeles and the location in Downey was closest to where I was staying so off we went🤙

Went on a Sunday afternoon so it was quite crowded but the chaos was organized and lines moved rather quickly. Should have grabbed more items but was my first time visiting... Pastries were excellent, price on point, no wonder it packs a large crowd. Great experience overall. 5 stars🤙

Porto's is the best place for any sweet treat. My fave is everything, but primarily the potato balls, the cheese rolls, the Besitos and of course the birthday cake that I got for my handsome husband 🥳❤️. It was a mango mousse and it's one of my go to b'day cakes for special birthdays 🎁🥳❤️
