Typical Publix. Nothing great or terrible. I could complain about the prices but at the same time I usually stick to mostly sale items. Today was the 7.99lb bone in ribeye. I bought the whole cryopack for 145.00 which is a great price and I love the time of year Publix has these on sale.

Publix is a great place to shop. A big variety of good food for everyone, good prices and friendly staff. And my Harley Tri-Glide holds $118,00 of groceries, so I can get lots of good food!

It hurts to leave this review, because we always try to leave a compliment to help employees get the recognition they deserve. I used to work for a Publix and know what they strive for when it comes to giving guests the best experience.

I have a very demanding job and get to spend the day with my 6 year old daughter on Saturdays. Every Saturday she picks a spot for lunch. This time she chose Publix because she wanted a chicken tender sub. She was excited to order it on her own (Chicken tender sub on white bread, American cheese, and mustard). We waited in line. There were two ladies in front of me also waiting. One employee was attending a customer, while another was working on an online or catering order I believe. A gentleman working on the side that serves Mac and cheese, potato wedges, chicken, etc., was very nice and asking customers if they've been helped. He asked us if we wanted anything and we said, no thank you, we are waiting for a sub.

After about 7 minutes, the 2 ladies in front of me left. So my daughter and I continued to wait. There was nobody behind us. It was 10 minutes in that we decided to order potato wedges, while still in line. The gentleman asked us if we wanted to sample one, and I ordered a small bag for my daughter and continued to wait.

It may have been 10 minutes, or more, when the employee called on the person behind us. As stated before, there was nobody behind us, and then all of a sudden she called the lady behind us. I thought maybe she was ordering deli meat or cheese, and not a sub? So I didn't want to complain because maybe she was helping her with another item and not a sandwich. I was wrong, she was making this customer around 3 sandwiches. I was so confused. I looked at the other employee, and she was still making an online/catering order. The two ladies who left the line earlier, witnessed it and approached me, asking me, did she even help you yet I responded, no.

I looked at the employee, and she looked at me and looked away, it was odd. No idea why we were cut in line. We were there for quite a while.

Not to cause a scene or ruin the other customer's experience, because she looked like she had no idea what was going on, she didn't notice us there I guess, even though we were right in front of the sandwich glass window, we decided to go to customer service to explain the situation. The customer service employee referred us to a manager. The manager was nice enough to listen, and offered to make us the sandwich quickly. The issue with that was that our experience was already ruined. We already waited in line, and then the employee called a person behind us who had just arrived. So in my opinion, I would have offered my daughter a half sub on the house, just to show some effort and empathy. Making us a sandwich quickly doesn't make us feel better. I wasn't even there to get myself food or a full sub. It was just half a sub for my daughter. I'm not there for free food, but if I see something went wrong, it's my responsibility to make it right for the guest, and then talk to my team to be better.

I chose to say, no thank you. I already had a sour taste and wasn't happy with the response I got. The best solution for me was to walk away and move on.

We left, were stuck in traffic, trying to get to another Publix. We never made it to get her a sub. We just got her Chick-fil-A on the way home. Waited in their long drive thru line, but in the end, my daughter was happy.

I do not like my time being wasted and am only leaving this review because I don't want this to happen to other customers. If it does, please do better to make it right. I'm not asking for a free sub out of this review or anything. I'm just sharing our experience. We've met a lot of great people who work hard at Publix and we always try to give them a compliment, but yesterday this location let us down :/

Ok so 6 year little girls birthday party princess themed. Stopped by Friday night ordered a 1/4 sheet princess themed cake with pink/ purple princess themed decorations. Waited 20 hours to pick up and they decided this was acceptable to sell us. I'm sorry but where is roses and nothing else happy birthday what I paid for
#dobetterpublix. So now we have 15 people coming up and the center piece is a adult retirement themed cake. I'm sorry but I'm really disappointed. They litterlay took a cake off the shelf wrote on it what I asked for and sold it to me. I could have done this the day before while there and saved myself the second trip. Listen I wasn't asking for a over the top cake but at the very least was expecting something that said little girls birthday and this is as bad as it gets. I'm so disappointed, they could have waited until we got there and explained they didn't have princess themed decorations and said pick out a cake on the shelf we then could write happy birthday in 30 seconds.
I wish I could post a pic so all would see I'm not unreasonable here. In fairness they did give us 3 various disney character themed sticker type sticks that are maybe 1 inch tall to place on the cake.

This was the worse experience I have ever encountered at Publix. I went to the deli section to order a wrap and was standing their Cris walks up doesn’t greet us starts opening up the mayo container then looks up and says “ what can I help you with?” So I then responded and said “Goodmorning “then he said Goodmorning back. After Cris is asking me what I would like etc with an attitude I still tried to look past it . I then asked Cris for Colby jack cheese he opens multiple doors then he goes to the other side and touches the sliding door glasses etc, then touch the machines to cut the cheese, comes back with the same gloves and touch my food. Doesn’t even attempt to change his gloves . I then informed him I would like to cancel my order. This behavior I expect from Walmart not Publix. The attitude and uncleanliness I experienced was devastating. I then informed the manager and he told me he will look at the cameras and address it. I’m not sure if anything was done about the situation, but I am very upset and disappointed in the customer service I experienced today and having to go to work hungry because of this situation.

I’ve been a long time, loyal, customer and lover of Publix. Ever since I moved here 20+ years ago from California, there was so much hype from the locals about the fantastic subs at Publix! It was also quite evident at the incredible customer service from their staff. Both things I’ve grown to love over the years, you can always get the most amazing sub, and friendly help! (unlike other grocery stores)

I have to admit, once I tried my first Publix sub that many years ago, I’ve been addicted ever since!

Sadly, I feel as though Publix has been going downhill the last couple of years.

The staff in the deli department seem annoyed to help you. They are no longer enthusiastic, willing to make your sub, however you would like. They’ve become incredibly resistant and even argumentative on numerous occasions. Unfortunately, I’ve come across some difficult financial times that forced me to sell my vehicle. So now the only times I get to enjoy Publix, as if I order Instacart delivery.

Let me caution you, I would not recommend ordering any of their subs for delivery!

I have done so a number of times over the last year (from not having a vehicle), and each and every time I am very disappointed. I feel as though they slop together any subs marked for delivery. They put hardly any toppings on whatsoever. In fact, I ordered the chicken tender sub, which is one of my favorites, but because how poor their deli sandwiches have been for delivery, I actually purchased a bag of spinach, tomatoes, green peppers, and onions, as well as the chipotle sauce. So that I can properly upgrade the sub once it arrives.

I literally had one piece of spinach on half of my sub and couldn’t find any green peppers or onions, and just a sprinkle of jalapeños.

When they make the subs in person, they’re decent (they used to be absolutely outstanding, but now they half ass do it and act annoyed while doing it, and if you don’t get the sub special the way it comes, for example, simply removing one item you’re allergic to you have to get in a verbal altercation and escalate it to a manager, just to get your sub made the way you want…. not sure what the big deal is with simply removing one condiment. 🤷‍♀️)

But the pushback is ridiculous! Instead of shopping being a pleasure, it turns into a nightmare every time now! And instead of looking forward to that yummy sandwich, you’ve been craving, that you know is spilling over, they’re skimpy!!!

If you’re ordering delivery from Publix, just know that your bread will be stale, it will be made very poorly!!!

If you want your sub done right, or even just halfway decent, you are much better off going in person. Otherwise don’t waste your money.
