Publix Super Market at Shoppes of Lithia - Valrico, Florida

This is the second time we have placed an online order for some platters to be ready for pickup by 4:30pm. We’re throwing our annual Xmas party and when we called at 4:30 to verify that our order was ready we were told “all platters have been made” we offered to give our name and they stated “no need all orders have been made” we go up to the deli and they do NOT have our order, we showed them our online confirmation and proof that it was placed at the correct location and they claim “it didn’t come through on our system”
I will say that Dept Mgr Marissa was understanding and accommodating. Not only did she volunteer to have our order delivered to our house she even provided us an addition shrimp platter and dessert platter. It is moments like these that remind me why shopping at Publix can be a pleasure as certain representatives are willing to go above and beyond in customer service. My complaint is they need to fix their online ordering placement and train better associates to answer customers questions efficiently and thoroughly.

Horrible service when we were checking out . Our cashier was ali she was fine but the bagger was horrible . He busted our water putting in on the bottom of the cart , then the cashier told him to get a new one for us and he just stood there and kept bagging. My husband had to get it and on top of that that was the last water , so he grabbed another water which was like a buck more and the manager said well you have to go to customer service to pay the difference. No one ever said sorry this happened. And we are never going back there because everyone is now just getting cocky and bagging our bloody meats with fruit. Like with. Will be telling everyone about this

So this was my first time in this location and like always the staff was very friendly and helpful. I was only there for a couple things but took a walk through the store. First stop was to check out the bakery. Well again the desserts looked fabulous and I would have like to take one of everything. Next stop the deli section and they had a great selection of meats and cheese. The people behind the counter were busy with other customers but it still did not stop them from looking up and telling me they would be right with me. Had a great fruits and vegetables selection as well as a wine selection. As for the rest of the the store it was bright, clean and staff everywhere to help. They have a atm outside as well as propane if you need it. Will be happy to come back to this location

Normally a good experience. Today, while at the Bakery Department, a gentleman with glasses, which I assume was the Department Manager because he was rude when I asked the kind, elderly employee questions about a recall. He took it upon himself to answer questions, but not really answering my question. Was very condescending and didn't want to be bothered. "Obviously the recall was important" he said. Well no kidding Sherlock? I wouldn't think it would be for any little reason. Good grief

This is my local and closest Publix. I have shopped here for 11 years. Like any chain store there have been leadership changes, but there are associates there who have been there the whole time I’ve been shopping at the store. Any large company has its problems, but Publix definitely does something right across the board.

They’re not the cheapest store to shop for all the items you can buy, but when you match up certain promotions with their digital coupons the prices can be amazing. Also, they run the BOGOs all the time, and even with no coupon the BOGO deals beat Walmart hands down. Their fresh flowers are always a great deal and high quality. I enjoy daisies or roses that last more than a week, sometimes two - and their bunches are still 3/$12.

As far as customer service, this to me is where the “where shopping is a pleasure” comes from. I often ask questions, need help, or make suggestions/give feedback regularly to the leadership or customer service desk, and they have always been courteous, efficient, attentive and responsive. They take customer satisfaction seriously and they go out of their way to make the customer experience the best in the industry. So glad we have Publix in our home state of Florida (the company HQ is Lakeland, about 30 minutes from us), but LOVE the fact that I can get a Pub Sub or friend chicken, or the latest BOGO deal when I visit Pigeon Forge next to the Smokies when we vacay there!

This is the best Publix in the Valrico area in four decades. It’s a larger store with a good selection and is clean and well stocked. The front end is also the best in the area.

With such high Publix prices, we now shop at Publix primarily for sales and BOGOs and buy everything else at Walmart and Target (both with wider aisles) where shopping is a pleasure. We’re looking forward to trying the healthy food items at the new Whole Foods store.

It is often difficult to leave the Lithia Publix store because of increased traffic (a big negative) so the planned traffic light should make shopping there and at the new Whole Foods store much easier.

Super friendly staff. Very clean store. Checkout cashier was friendly and went out of her way to be kind to my daughter with special needs. My daughter went straight home and got to coloring. 💕
