Dear Publix Customer Care,

I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the direction Publix has taken in recent years, particularly in terms of customer service. It is evident that the company has shifted its focus away from its loyal customers and toward maximizing profits, and this change is both noticeable and unacceptable.

One of the most frustrating developments has been the expansion of self-checkout lanes. While automation may be beneficial for a business’s bottom line, it comes at the expense of customer experience. The long lines and backups at self-checkouts are not only inefficient, but they also strip away the personal touch that once set Publix apart from other grocery chains. Your associates, who were once readily available to assist and provide excellent service, are now scarce, leaving customers to struggle with machines that often malfunction or require unnecessary delays.

Publix was once known for its outstanding customer service, but that reputation is quickly diminishing. The company’s shift away from a customer-first approach makes it clear that profits have taken precedence over people. As a result, I have decided to take my business to Kroger delivery, where customer service is still valued, and I sincerely hope that others follow suit. Businesses that prioritize self-checkouts over human interaction should be held accountable, and I believe consumers have the power to demand better.

It is truly disheartening to see a company that once prided itself on service become just another profit-driven corporation. I hope Publix will reconsider its approach before losing even more loyal customers.

Best and good team work at bakery. They made it possible even though it was a last minute order. I ordered a baby shower cake and due to a system error it fixed to a wrong date and time and I came to know about it when I called the store to check for confirmation. Without any further delays the team made it possible and helped us to celebrate the event. The cake was very lovely and delicious. I thank the whole team for their speedy service.

Staff was nice and helped. The prices are too much at Publix anymore unfortunately I don't know why they cost much more than all of the other grocery stores. Only thing Worth paying extra for is a pub sub. Put staff is great location was good.

Dear Publix

At 15 years old, I was given an incredible blessed opportunity—my first job at a company I admired. Almost six years later, as I approach 21, I look back on the journey with gratitude. Working at Publix helped me grow as a person. I started as a quiet, shy teenager but quickly learned to take on bigger responsibilities. I committed myself to providing premier customer service, learning multiple departments beyond customer service, working long hours, pulling doubles, and staying late. I wasn’t perfect, but I always tried my best.

Despite my dedication, I often felt like I didn’t belong. No matter how much I cared or how hard I worked, I never seemed to fit the mold to move up in customer service. When I transferred from Store #1277, it wasn’t because I wanted to—it was because I felt overlooked and undervalued made fun of Still, I remained loyal, taking the same initiative at my new store in Tampa, learning Pours Bar, and continuing to give my best, even when I made small mistake because I’m human.

I dedicated years of my life to this company. I worked hard, showed up, and gave my all—even when I was struggling. And in a moment when I needed understanding the most, I was cast aside. No employee should be treated as disposable, especially when they’ve proven their dedication.

I’ve learned the hard way that no one will advocate for me—so I have to advocate for myself. To those reading this: Companies should stand by their employees, not discard them in times of hardship and have an intrest in helping them grow,A small mistake should never outweigh years of loyalty. I hope this message reaches many, and that it sparks change. im sorry i was not enough

Prices are way to high, customer service is lacking. Since Rick the meat manager left for retirement the meat department has gone down hill dramatically. The current grocery manager is rude and somewhat confrontational. I miss the old Publix, they really need a competitor in Florida. It's a shame really I use to love shopping at any Publix.

Had a terrific Deli experience. The clerk suggested the holiday sandwich, and it was great. I didn't want mayo on the 5 sandwiches I bought, so I was going to pick up a jar of mayo.
Publix had a Bogo on mayo, so I picked up one jar, as we are visitors in Valrico, Fl. area.
I was charged $8.63 for ONE JAR! I returned it to customer service.
This BOGO and not charging 1/2 price for one is absolutely insane. Not everyone can or wants to buy 2 jars or items of the same thing.
This is a bad policy for Publix stores, and you lost one potential customer who is moving into the area.

What’s going on lately with this location. For weeks low inventory or sold out (too many things to name) on many items. Most recently the amount of expired food on shelves is ridiculous! The meat department especially! Example ( check area around bacon, sandwich meat, and the microwave meats) Come on guys! Management need a refresher? Maybe train employees better?
