I've shopped at Publix for over 20 years, no problem till I bought a large plump fresh hen with the giblets included. After 2 hrs.at 375° the skin had turned to leather and the meat was tough as hell. In my old hunting days, I'd say the critter was old and needed to be parboiled. Since I threw away the wrappings I didn't complain, but I figured that an unscrupulous farm just got rid of an old bird they had with no regrets.

Every Tuesday My daughter in law comes to this pubix to pick up a dessert for our family night dinners . There’s three desserts my husband will eat from Publix . Cheesecake preferably strawberry cheesecake the tiramisu or the Keylime pie but without the almonds. One of us is allergic to almonds. Every week she tells me they have the almonds on the Keylime pie, or they don’t have the strawberry cheesecake. This time I told her to ask the man behind the counter to scrape off the almonds. He told her no . Then said that would be impossible then walked to the back and never came back . I know that that if we ask them to take the almonds off, that is what they do . It is the policy of Publix . It’s very simple but just telling her “No” and it would be impossible, flat out refusing to do it walking off and not returning? What are we doing here? Every week It’s something with this Publix. i’ll just make sure that she comes to the Publix right by my house because they always have Strawberry cheesecake and they would never give an attitude and say it’s impossible to take off the almonds or pretend like people don’t have actual allergies to almonds. Thanks for putting a sour taste in my mouth.
