Highly recommended.

Loved the store. I enjoyed exploring all the different areas, including camping equipment, hiking gear, footwear etc. Lots of useful and fun stuff - and the prices seem reasonable too.

Customer service was great, with helpful staff never far away. Even if they didn't know the answers to my questions (e.g. about hiking shoes, backpacks, cold weather gear etc), they quickly found another staff member who did.

Returns were no problem. I decided to return a jacket, and REI processed this with no objections or problems at all.

Thanks in particular to Katie who repeatedly searched for my size in different items! Always patient, and nothing seemed to be too much trouble.

Looking forward to coming back!

I’ll start with the bike shop my favorite part!
The technicians are amazing and the shop is clean! They saved me from trouble fixing my bike (fast quality long lasting repair!)

The employees are always extremely friendly and helpful! Everything is easy to find and priced reasonably for Alaska!

The camping/ cooking sections are always stocked well! We recently purchased a propane tank that was cheaper than Amazon!

The padding section is always stocked with rad paddles and today I found a large assortment of colored leashes!

The return policy and process is seamless always considering the customer before the store!

The solar and batteries section is fully stocked with great options and accessories!
I purchased my first solar panel kit yea x I’m very satisfied with everything!

We love coming here as a family, it’s always fun and safe for kids to look around together without parents! I’m sure that on the future our kids will shop here weekly!

This store is much bigger than what they used to be after the changes. Still overall a great store for outdoor equipment and supplies. Would often come here for camping equipment that has served me well and now looking for shoes for hiking and trail jogging. While looking, the staff has been very welcoming and helpful in finding shoe options for my needs and requirements. Despite the pricing, I would recommend going here for camping, running/hiking, biking, and other activity equipment.

Great REI. Excellent service - probably the best I’ve ever experienced at one of these. A bit more pricey than “mainland” stores obviously.

Not very good customer Service at all. Went in for a backpack on sale , someone who helped me at the backpacks told me the price was the same so I grabbed a backpack that was not split , waited in line for a very long time , went up to the counter apparently the one I grabbed was more expensive so I asked if I can just grab the split one real quick and come back instead of waiting in the line all over again, she said I had to wait in the line . Need to work on your customer service skills . Will not be coming back because of clueless people who know nothing of customer service . Never had I had a cashier tell me I needed to wait in a long line again just to switch something real quick because someone else got the price wrong .

A surprisingly pain-free and cheap camping gear rental. No hassle, 5 minute pick up and drop off, and very reasonable prices. Everything for two people fit in a 100L duffle bag.

The 'Brand New' REI store is incredible. I feel transported into an outdoors commercial where everything is perfect. The clothing is soft, warm, and if I'm lucky the it's on clearance. No matter what I buy I'm getting money back with my REI Membership, so I know that I'm coming back next season to buy more goodies! Bring a cup of coffee and walk slowly.

Plenty of parking at this location too!

I purchased a $3k bike from these guys online. A month later, I received notification that the bike was ready for pick up. I showed up to pick up the bike, but they hadn't started assembly. They ended up getting it done by the end of the week. Most of the staff at the bike shop made the process an uncomfortable experience - arrogant and condescending through the whole process - I ignored too many red flags and should have taken the hint. Worse, the bike wasn't assembled properly. Last time I shop here.
