A Lifetime of Memories at Rodgers Park!

I've been visiting Rodgers Park since I was 9 years old, and now, at 30, I'm still creating amazing memories here! This park holds a special place in my heart, and I'm so grateful to have it in my life.

The water is stunning, and the park offers a boat launch and kayak launch, making it a paradise for water enthusiasts. Plus, its connection to the Weeki Wachee River is a bonus!

But what really makes Rodgers Park special is the incredible wildlife that calls it home. I've been lucky enough to spot dolphins and manatees on multiple occasions, and it's truly magical.

❌🛑⭕️PLEASE BE AWARE:⭕️❌🛑Due to the presence of these amazing creatures, it's essential to exercise caution and respect their habitat. If you're boating or kayaking, PLEASE SHUT OFF YOUR MOTORS when approaching or near these animals. Let's work together to protect and preserve this incredible ecosystem.

However, I do have one caveat: parking can be a challenge. You need to arrive super early to secure a spot, which can be a bit of a hassle.

Despite the parking issue, Rodgers Park remains one of my favorite places to visit. The natural beauty, recreational opportunities, and nostalgic value make it a must-visit destination.

If you're looking for a wonderful outdoor experience, add Rodgers Park to your list!

Great location to paddle upstream on the Weeki! Nice large swimming area. Boat launch and kayak launch. Right across the street from a good lunch spot at Upper Deck.

Great little park on Weeki Watchee.
Sand area to lay out or set up a picnic. Definitely a locals area FYI, area for swimming, and floating was fun also.

A great kayak drop in location for the Weeki Wachee river. There are several places to launch and bathroom facilities too. A very short paddle to Hospital Hole where there were many manatees.

I came here to kayak on the Weeki Wachi Spring. I arrived at 950am, and the parking lot was full. I was so disappointed, then you have vultures trying to sell you parking from their house for $40.

Luckily, there's a Marina right next to the park, and I was lucky to find a free spot on some grass parking outside the Marina gates. From there, the Marina owner let me launch for $10. I just had to make two trips from my car to the dock, which was about a 50yrd walk.

If you're heading all the way to the end of the Weeki Wachi Springs from Roger's, it's a good 13 miles. It's worth it, though, such a beautiful place. The way back is a breeze because you're going with the current.

Nice park. Beautiful views of the marsh. Fishing pier, kayak & canoe launch, as well as a boat launch. It is a popular spot. The bathrooms are currently closed, but there are porta potties available. Don't forget to bring your own toilet paper.
