This is my first season in Quartzsite from the east coast, i have been to many Safeway stores, but this one brought a smile to my face the first time in. Today was THAT first time in to get a new/starter propane tank.
I went to the customer service desk and was greeted by the biggest smile and contagious laugh ever!
Sometimes/Many Times as we all know, customer service with happy employees can make a routine stop to shop into a mood changer.
DENISE, thank you for making my crummy decaf coffee day frown into a smiley one. You are a five star polished professional at interacting. I sincerely appreciated your efficiency and professionalism along with your personal touch of how you inherited your Mom's laugh meant the moon to me. I'm sure that I'm speaking for anyone that has met you or may work with you would say that you ARE the smile at a FrownFest. Keep up the awesome personality, as i told you while at the customer service desk "I'm glad that you're out on the front line with customers because it would be a waste to have you anywhere else and not using your platform to spread joy."
The store itself was in great shape, well-stocked, clean, produce looked amazing, the employees were busy stocking/tidying the contents on the shelves and the store just had a good vibe to it on this October Monday.
GREAT parking, ADA compliant marked parking spots along with compliant entryways. Bravo.
Happiest Autumn and the holidays
to follow. I'll be seeing y'all this winter on my grocery store treks.

They have changed the previous week with tomorrow's ad.
Check your receipt.

this location has no self service machines and they routinely have the 15 item or less lanes closed during the afternoon when i assume everyone is going shopping after school/work. currently standing in long lines with 3 other people trying to buy just a few items. and that's just during the 10 minutes I've been here

Nice grocery store, usually have what we need. I've been shopping this store for several years when we stay in Quartzsite for the winter, what we save makes the drive worth it, so we shop here every 7 to 10 days. My complaint, please fix the smell of your public restrooms, they are cleanISH, however the horrible smell ( probably the drain trap) ruins the overall experience.

The employees at safe way are awesome and very helpful but every time my wife and I try to use our points on the app it never works. We have to stand there for 20 minutes and have our items re-scaned. Like I said the employees are awesome but the app needs alot of work

I find it soooooo hard to find anyone who makes chocolate chip cookies with nuts, and in at least a “card/paperboard” box that will deteriorate, instead of plastic, which some places don’t recycle.

I purchased the Hopes Royale 8 Count Cookies today for the first time, I don’t know if they are only at this store/area, I’ve not seen them up north, but they are WONDERFUL. I just may need to stock up on them before I go back to northern ID to work for the summer. ?

I also pick up some turkey sliced in the deli, I mean REAL TURKEY, not the packaged/processed kind in the deli.

Then I was going to check out and came across a couple employees, they walked me back to the product I was looking for.

Very nice store and great staff! Store is clean and well laid out. Staff go out of their way to help you understand the deals and the pricing. The Safeway app is not so great. The app thought I was at a store in another state. The deals did not apply to this store.
