I stayed here while TDY for 2 weeks. I have to admit, I was grateful to not have to commute and it was not the worst hotel I've stayed in on a base. My room had a kitchenette with a large counter where I could sit to eat. The bed wasn't too uncomfortable and was an OK size for one person. Housekeeping was really good and helpful. So why only a 3 overall? I woke up in the middle of the night freezing. You can't control the heat in your own room. They offered extra blankets when I called, but only one person was working so she couldn't bring them to me. It was like a freezer in the room. Condensation was on the door the next day. The bathroom is tiny and straight out of the 60s. I couldn't climb into the shower without bumping the toilet. The walls were so thin I heard my neighbors cough in the middle of the night. I slept with my TV on just to keep from hearing my neighbor's conversation. There are only 3 washers and 3 dryers on the second floor for the whole building so don't wait until the weekend to do your laundry. And there were some bugs. I know it's Panama City and you're going to see bugs so I didn't take off too much for that. Nothing on base is open after about 6 so you have to cook to eat or leave base. I worked most days until 5:30 so i didn't get to the PX or Commissary much. The gym is close enough to walk/ run and it's been redone recently. That's definitely a plus versus staying in a hotel off post with their mediocre fitness rooms. I liked the staff and they were all kind and helpful. The place is just definitely in need of some upgrades.

Its been a nice hotel. I like the room sizing is nice full kitchen and been clean and the private beach nearby is nice too. Right now the hotel is getting remodeled. I feel it will be much better when done since this room is in serious need of tlc. The items inside are pretty good shape but the walls and ceilings are covered in chipping paint

The ladies at the desk were excellent. The room was nice and comfortable. Rocking chair out front. The inside had a economy kitchen, small dining and living space with sofa separate from the bedroom. We will return. Thank you!

The staff is friendly and helpful but they service your room only once a week. The rooms have everything you need to cook (pots, pans, can opener, toaster, silverware) but bugs outline along the outside of the room that immediately go into your room every time you open the door.

It was sad to see the base in such disarray from the hurricane 3 years ago and half the base was torn apart. The rooms here were updated, nice and cold A/C, and quiet. There are nice common areas outside and close to the base beach and commissary and BX. Would stay again if I had the chance and would recommend for anyone else visiting.

This place is great for military members and their families and retired military. The staff is great. The things are always very clean and maid service is spectacular. Rooms are similar to those hotels off base but most have full kitchens some have kitchenettes Rates are better than off base. Each building has its own laundry area with a vending machine that allows you to purchase one load packets of laundry soap and dryer sheets. Washer and dryers are free but you must occupy a room to use them. And TLF facilities have a playground nearby for the kids to play.

This is such an awesome place to stay. The rooms are huge and it comes with a full kitchen with most of the basic necessities. A full size fridge, stove, oven, microwave. It's great for long term stay for sure.
What's more amazing is that the beach is only 10 mins away. The beach is gorgeous. I wish I lived on this base.
Would Def go back here and stay. Mexico beach is only 12 mins away from here and everything is nearby such as decent restaurants, etc.
