Pending review. Just dropped of boots for minor repairs. Quoted $20.00(fair price).
I did have to pay up front. Communication is an issue, but they understood what repair I wanted.

Very Expensive For Sole Reseal Shoe Repair And The Shop Only Wanted To Seal it From The Outside Not Remove The Sole As It Was Half Way Detached To Begin With There Is A Better Choice Nearby.

They do great work. The Owner barely speaks English but she somehow manages to communicate to where you're on the same page with each other. She fully understood my needs & executed things well beyond what I expected. I highly recommend their work & will continue to go back. It would however be very helpful if she did speak English. She does know how to give you the cost of things in dollars though😆!

Took my boots in for new heel caps, wasn’t expecting taps, a well done shine, and heel/edge dressing. The folks there don’t seem to speak much English but they understood what I needed and gave me a good price. Very happy!

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY WAAAAY WAY OVERPRICED!!!!
Santa Shoe Repair Shop is the only repair shop in our area with no other local composition or rivals to force their highway robbery prices down.
The Asian woman behind the counter is cunning and shrewd to not speak English with the exception of clearly quoting in English the dollars amounts! She gives you her personal head quote. (Sometimes she asks her husband) There are no basic charges listed nor signs posted anywhere.
There is no way to assess if she gives every customer the same over priced quotes.

She quoted me TEN DOLLARS ($10) to secure JUST ONLY ONE (half my baby fingernail size) nail like post for just ONE side of my leather purse strap. (I'd brought the counter side in with me.)
REALLY?
I declined that service.

This is not the first time l was quoted super high prices. She quoted me enough money to buy a new pair of shoes when all l wanted was a pair of rubber tips put on my worn high heals.
Sad and disappointing.

I'd hate to think her high quotes are because of my ethnicity.

Language isn't the only problem here. Poor quality workmanship and lack of respect for your customers is not right, wherever you're from.
I've taken three pairs of shoes for repairs, maybe I'm just a bit slow. I should have got the message after the second time.
The repairs were for soles on a pair of work boots and replacement heals on two womens dress shoes. Each time they did sloppy work, got glue on the exposed leather, caused damage, and argued with me when I respectfully asked that they clean it up. On the work boots they sanded the leather nearly through where they shaped the sole to the shoe.
They are very convenient for me, but not worth the frustration.

On two different occasions, they broke the backs of two pairs of "ballet flats" slip-on cloth shoes: basically turned them into flip-flops, since they will no longer stay up on my heels to be worn as intended. One would think, from the drab location (low-rent district) and comparable lack of amenities (such as being able to communicate in the customers' language), that their prices would be considerably cheaper than most other repair shops. They are not. I've given them two chances, because I wanted to help an immigrant mom-and-pop business. But not only do they not deliver, they ruined my shoes; and even if I tried to give them feedback, they wouldn't understand. Pantomime and gesturing go only so far.
