My grandfather loaned his Indian relics to this museum and we've recently decided to go get our stuff. The director ( Vicki) is extremely rude and condensing over us trying to get our stuff. My papa told her we trust them we just want our stuff and to make sure it's all still there and she responds with "I really don't think you do" her whole attitude to the situation was overall just extremely rude. We understand it's a process to get our stuff but there is no reason to be hostile or treat us like we're stupid just because we haven't done this before. Do not recommend loaning your possessions unless you want to be treated like crap when you want to pick your stuff back up.

An excellent facility in a beautiful historic building. The house has a fascinating backstory, be sure to ask. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. I stopped by on a whim and I’m very glad I spared the time.

Go see the library of very old books they have. It will be worth your time. It's amazing! All the houses and tools are also very interesting and my tour guide was really great but the books are where it's at. I could have spent days reading them. Seriously like a glimpse into the past. They are also expanding and I'll definitely be back to see more very cool history. Just a couple blocks off the main road. Never knew it was here until I looked up museums in the area. They should advertise more. (Tip your tour guide. She's great!!)
