I recently visited Searcy Food Mart and felt compelled to share my thoughts on the experience. While the store offers a variety of convenience items, there are certain aspects that have raised concerns within the community.

One issue that caught my attention was the presence of gambling machines in the back of the store. These machines appear to pay out cash to regular customers, and the owners even offer free play. The legality and impact of such activities on the community are questionable, and I believe it's crucial for the relevant authorities, such as the Mayor, City Attorney, and White County Sheriff's office, to investigate these matters thoroughly.

Additionally, there have been allegations that the store employs illegal immigrants. Ensuring that businesses follow employment laws and regulations is essential for a fair and just community.

One of my close friends, a veteran, shared that he has lost a significant amount of money at Searcy Food Mart's gambling machines, causing financial strain and making it challenging for him to cover his mortgage payments. This is a personal hardship that should not be taken lightly.

It's my hope that these concerns are addressed appropriately and that the store's owners take steps to ensure their business operations are conducted within the boundaries of the law and in a way that positively contributes to the community's well-being. It is my humble request that the owners remove the Gambling machines from the store as this is negatively affecting our community.

I have also reached out to the State Representative about this issue. Justice must be served.

This place is full of scams. Watch out when using a card. They will steal small amounts of money here and there to look inconspicuous so that people won’t catch it. There have been numerous claims of people I know personally using this store and the bend gas station having small charges coming out of their accounts few days after their purchases. I’m sure anyone who uses their cards at these places have their information stolen. DO NOT SHOP AT THESE PLACES. Many are illegal migrants who have no repercussions of law. Of course they are being watched hard as they have already been at the forefront of fraud, scam, stolen information, gambling, and trafficking allegations… but somehow get by. Further actions by the mayor must take place to get these criminals prosecuted. I’m all for someone wanting to make a name for themselves and provide an opportunity for their family and community, but this is not that. I will take further action and warn everyone these places will take your information and you are just helping them further their status as criminals. They must be held accountable. SEARCY has not seen the likes of this kind of wide spread criminal activity right under our noses.

The staff are great, there's a huge snack section, the Jolly Rancher Slushies & drink selection are amazing as well. They always have my cigarettes in stock (along with all of the major brands & 100 types of Marlboros) and they carry an interesting and affordable selection of other smoking items such as bubbles, bongs, hookahs. Herb pipes, etc at very reasonable prices. Pretty sure they have the best & most extensive selection of lighters in town as well.
