I love stopping here in the morning they have lovely kids' items, ranging from hello kitty to popular items! Plenty of jackets, sweaters, and hats! Things are cheaper here, and it's just a lovely little store, and there's a restaurant right by it!

Small nice gas station stop. They have all the basic needs for purchase. Single stall restroom. We didn't purchase gas but needed some snacks and drinks for our trip. The cashier was very nice and even looked up for us if we needed chains, we brought our own from home in case. The roads were clear, and so he told us we didn't need them on. Fast and convenient stop!

I'm reading the comments and I think some of these people where at another gas station. The people that work here are the friendliest, most helpful people I've ever met. My truck broke down at my cabin and I was stuck without a mechanic nearby. I shopped there many times and found their prices to be cheaper than Safeway. Everyone that worked there tried to help me in my momment of need. I don't think I've ever met so many helpfull people in one town. I would name you guys out but probably rules on that. All clerks at Silver Forks Store,,,,,,thank you, And will see you soon.. Also much thanks to the "water master/mech. for checking in on me. Your a good man. And a huge thank you to one of the best handymen/friend in el Durado Forest. Thank you all, I made it home.👍

Awesome people, very kind and helpful!
On our way to South Lake Tahoe Friday 4/9/2021 we ended up visiting this establishment three times in one day. The road was closed at The Summit due to a rock slide.
Each time it felt we had known the couple managing the store for years.

I filled up with diesel here last Friday, the 13th around 4:52pm. As I drove off, my car immediately shut down with a check engine light. My car had to be towed and my family had to take a taxi back to Sacramento. I found this to be a bit too coincidental, so being worried about contaminated diesel, I called back to speak with the manager. The lady who answered wasn't very helpful, couldn't provide the manager's number and hung up on me. I'm waiting to hear back from the dealership to see what the issue is and will update as necessary.

Update: I spoke to the dealer and my car was filled up with $70 worth of water from the diesel pump. I called again to speak to the manager, and the same lady was rude and hung up again.

Just stopped and had the worst Experience every with the rudest Cashier named David I will never stop at this gas station again!

Do not and I repeat do not go to this gas station at all costs. During Christmas Eve I had family heading up the mountain to South Lake Tahoe for the holidays. Unfortunately Cal trans was requiring chain control over the summit. My sister got chains installed but upon arriving to the Cal Trans station they informed my sister that the chains were installed incorrectly and on the wrong tires causing damage to her brand new car I had to head over from South Lake Tahoe to go help her. Upon arriving at the gas station the manager was yelling at my sister and refusing to take responsibility for the job she paid them to do. Our Christmas Eve was placed on hold due to us trying to get our situation figured out. If you care for your items do not give them your business. Furthermore we contacted the owner to see if he would take responsibility for his employees actions and he refused to do anything about it so save yourself a headache and go to another station. If I can give this "business" negative stars I would. Way to think about your customers.

This is a great place to stop to pick something up on the way to Tahoe. The attendant was welcoming and friendly even with many people just using the store as a restroom stop. He even went out of his way to be helpful.
