My B&B at suggested I visit this place. I am glad he did because there were intricate and incredible pieces from local artists for sale. I saw carvings, etchings, textiles, prints, jewelry, post cards, and other hand crafted items. Prices ranged from $5 to many hundreds of dollars, so there is definitely something for everyone who appreciates native arts from a remote part of Alaska. Being right across the street from the Heritage Center and a block from the airport, it should be on the list of places to visit for anyone stopping in Kotzebue.

Nice gallery and friendly people! Not as many walrus tusk carvings as I had expected but lots of whale bone carvings. A nice selection of ivory earrings to choose from.
