I was in the need for a customized cake. Specifically a Taylor Swift themed cake. I wanted a cake with Taylor Albums cover. Isabel and her team did an amazing job. The cake was exactly what we wanted. She was super responsive and easy to work with. The cake itself was super moist and fluffy. Exactly the flavor we wanted.

I called Sweet Nothings Cake Shop a couple times last week and emailed as well. She requested a 50% deposit. I usually don’t pay deposits for cakes because it’s a service you can pick up and I usually pay the day of pick up but that’s her policy. So I was contemplating on it and since my first 3 choices couldn’t make it she was my LAST resort. The day I called to make the deposit I was told they didn’t have the ingredients to make a cake and was short staffed so no one can go out and get them so they was no longer able to make the cake so I settled for cupcakes she charged me 75 for a dozen of cupcakes. The designs were sunflowers and roses and happy birthday my name. The flavors was lemon, red velvet, strawberry, birthday cake and chocolate. I paid her $45.00 on Thursday September 19th my pick up date was September 21st I went in paid my remainder $30.00 and left a tip and purchased a mini cupcake for $2.50. Asked the cashier how to store the cupcakes to keep them fresh her response was Saran Wrap them store in refrigerator take out a few hours before serving. And that’s exactly what I did. However the cupcakes were hard as a rock, stale, dehydrated, dry, and icing was like candy hard and solid as a rock. Monday was my actual birthday so I was going to pass them out to everyone who came to my dinner however after tasting one that Sunday night at midnight the day it turned my birthday I decided not to take the cupcakes and serve them. The “business” is closed on Sundays and Mondays so I couldn’t call to tell them. Tuesday and Wednesday I let them sit out some more just to see if they’ll eventually taste better. Nope., never did Thursday I made a call to explain my terrible experience and the fact I couldn’t eat those hard & dry cupcakes to see what they can do the person who picked up the phone told me she needed to relay it over to the owner. Well well well the “owner” *Isabelle* called first off was rude how are you rude and mad at me for your poor distasteful unsatisfactory products. The audacity. Then she accused me of not letting them sit out and not taking them out when I’m supposed to as if she lives with me or have hidden cameras to know what I did in my home. Next she said if she would’ve known they were going to be used Monday she would’ve told me they wouldn’t last. And lastly this “place of business and it’s unprofessional owner”told me that she wasn’t going to do anything about it, that I can call my bank and dispute the charge because she isn’t refunding me because they took their time and worked hard. Sweetie yall didnt work hard enough. They were not moist, soft, icing, was hard and her excuse was that was because it was fresh buttercream frosting and once put in the refrigerator it’s like butter lol whatever. The cupcakes were more like cookies how hard they were like a brick and the icing was like candy if I wanted cookies and candy for my birthday sweets I sure as hell wouldn’t have spent 75 on such and would’ve actually had a more pleasant experience and satisfaction. 1) she did know the date was Monday she took the order what a looney tune 2) she wasn’t pleasant just like her cupcakes weren’t 3) most business owners try to make things right with the customer just like they “worked hard” I work hard as well and that was my hard-earned money that was wasted, I wouldn’t even feed those cupcakes to my dogs or pigeons. What a disgrace, what an unprofessional, rude, lack of customer service and darn right Thief to take someone’s hard earned money justify your unacceptable and mediocre and distressing work. I will NEVER go back I wouldn’t recommend this place to a dog. I have disputed the charge as she requested “lack of professionalism” and I have also filed a complaint with BBB be careful where you spend your money. Brownies and cupcakes and muffins from Target and Walmart last more than 3 days Isabelle and most definitely more gratifying, tolerable and tasty.

Cute little location. The cupcakes are super cute and the location smells so good. We tried the the chocolate covered strawberry cupcake the strawberry crumble and the red velvet cupcake with the macron. The macron was so delicious. The mini cupcakes were super disappointing. They were so dense and no taste. The strawberry frosting was so light and fluffy on the chocolate covered strawberry 🍓 cupcake. They have really cool wood tables. I bet the cakes are yummy but not the mini cupcakes. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The location was very clean and decorated super cute.

Best tasting cupcakes I’ve ever had — not too sweet! Isabel and staff are great. We’ve ordered a few times for events, and guests always rave about the cupcakes. Highly recommend this local shop.

Absolutely the best when it comes to customized cakes that not only look incredible, but taste amazing. I've ordered numerous custom cakes from Isabel, and each one has exceeded my expectations. She is great at communicating and giving her expert advice when I'm not sure what I want. Everything I've had from the cakes, cupcakes, cake pops, brookies and banana pudding has been perfection. Not too sweet, not too rich, not overly done with frosting, but always moist and delicious. I continuously recommend her shop to all my friends.

Isabel is the real deal. Her sweet treats are like no other. My favorite is her banana pudding. Make sure and let her know you want some and she'll make it special for you. I've been a customer for years now which is hard to believe. Her retail space is beautiful and her work ethic impeccable. Stop by and place an order, you won't regret it. Bryan
