Just had to stop servicing this area. Getting permits from this department is especially tedious, and zoning can be a nightmare if your project is over by a couple inches(still within property bounds). This caused a delayed payment for over 2months when I was told it would get done asap. Zoning never answers as well as most of the department. Honestly can’t do business in this city when they are so unprofessional and unreliable.

We were very pleased with our Stuctural Inspector, Juan Villanueva. Our only concern is that Juan informed our contractor, Orlando T Group, that they had to come back and caulk the exterior track. As of this date, June 16th, the contractor has not returned to complete the work.

Terrible customer service. Tell the people in the permit department that you cannot make a mistake and try to blame the customer. How do you approve a permit without tie downs? NOT even legal number one because you cannot install an air conditioner without TIE DOWNS! So because of the City's mistake, they want to charge me a "revision fee" when they examiner should have NEVER even approved it in the first place without paperwork SHOWING HOW TO SECURE THE UNIT!!! Terrible women on the phone sounds like she's older too. Please make her aware of her RUDENESS and MISTAKES.

We are doing a commercial roof in Tamarac and everyone has been very helpful in the City. Really appreciate the quick and helpful response to everyone throughout the permitting process and especially Roof Inspector Diko and Mechanical Inspector Tony. It’s nice when Everyone goes out of their way to help you succeed and expedite the process.

Nobody gets 5 stars so these 4 go to Christine for being the Best Permit Coordinator the Building Dept has had in 16 years. Now Code Compliance gets to enjoy her exceptional service and Great work ethic. Remember; when you have a Positive Supervisor you get great results!
