Incredible selection of unique objects, metal puzzles (!!), artworks by local and international artists, small decor items, and unexpected treasures (deadstock vintage astrology bumper stickers 🤯). Can’t wait to see what they stock next! Love there are lots of affordable (under $30.) items too.

Best store in Los Angeles! Part gallery and part gift shop. Playful store design where you’ll find expected treasures every time you visit! The most friendly owner with enthusiasm for everything he curates. Exciting to keep coming back!

I love stores that have a point of view, where you can tell an owner has curated the offerings really carefully — things they're passionate about and want to share, or things made by a community of people. I felt that at Tarantula! Fun place to hang too

The owner of this store is a true mensch— warm and kind. This is a fun and unique addition to the neighborhood. Plus it’s named after a gnar gnar bug. What more do you want?!

new store — cute stuff but the owner was extremely condescending and cold. I saw a sign out front (that was also pointing the other way which was confusing) that had ping pong paddles on it and some Korean characters. I went in and asked if the sign was his (he said yes) & if the store had anything ping pong related and he said “no. it’s just a sign” with SUCH distaste, and then dismissively said “most people don’t speak Korean” implying that the only reason one could read the sign (and think there's ping pong stuff) is bc there's Korean on it (even tho there is a visual of ping pong paddles) — I’m not even Korean, I’m Chinese lol. but even with the microaggression aside, just a crazy demeanor to have when you’re a white guy selling expensive knick knacks (even if they ARE cute) in echo park. Read the room

I was there the other day when the incident that that one review mentions about the owner being condescending happened..i'm not saying the guy is always that way but can confirm that his responses during that incident WERE said with a lot of disdain for some reason, even tho the question was totally normal / understandable. big bummer bc i coulda liked the store but now just have a bad taste in my mouth

I had a rousing time playing a spirited match of ping pong here recently. Left with a few very strange bumper stickers and a clock. Great store.

This store has everything you could possibly need; clocks, headphones, strange cubes, stickers, sunglasses, sculptural works and even more clocks.
