The Curiosity Shop in Jasper, Alabama is the ONLY place I will use regarding wedding dresses, tuxedo rentals, alterations, bridesmaid dresses, etc. I ordered a wedding dress from Amazon and when I received it through the mail it was rolled up in a bag like it was something cheap. I was very disappointed with the dress for so many reasons, but mostly because it looked nothing like the picture online and it was too big. With only two weeks left before my big day I panicked when I seen my dress, then I brought the dress to the Curiosity shop and she turned my ugly dress into something so special and so beautiful that I cried on the spot when I seen myself in the dress. They made alterations and cut off the sleeves and turned this dress into my dream wedding dress. She was determined to make my day special by making the perfect dress. I also ordered the tuxedos, the bridesmaids dresses, and the mother of the bride dresses from this shop. The tuxedoes were rentals and everything else was purchased from this amazing shop. I strongly recommend that if your looking for a dress shop, please stop here first! They are great people who are determined to help in anyway that they can. 5 stars from us! Thank you for everything, you truly made our day special.

This place has the most beautiful formal wear and the prices are shockingly affordable! The lady who owns the place will go out of her way to do whatever it takes to make you happy! I love this place!

I met both ladies that worked here both were nice and did a great job on my alteration for my dress. I only needed my straps taken in but it fit perfect after trying on. I dropped off on March 14, 2024
Told it would be done by May 20th and it was done by April 3, 2024. I’ll update with a picture of the dress the day I wear it for the event.

The best experience. The staff are amazing and precious. Their Prices are very reasonable. I was able to choose my mother of the bride dress plus shoes,get pinned for the alterations, and put the door in under 45 min. By far the best formal dress store I’ve been to and with 2 daughters, I’ve been to a lot.

I love going in here. I am never disappointed. Ms. Wanda is always sweet and helpful and Hannah is just the most wonderful young lady. I'm not engaged yet, but I wanted to get an idea of my dress, so Hannah helped me and was so patient. I found the dress of my dreams thanks to her. I'm a bigger lady, but I've had a double mastectomy and she helped me find a dress that totally flattered my entire body and personality!

Called about getting alterations done. They said to bring the dress over so they could see what needed to be done. I just needed strap sleeves taken in an inch. I was there within 5 mins of them telling me to bring the dress over. I clearly spoke to someone other than the person that came out to the desk when I arrived, because she automatically told me no. They couldn’t do any alterations. It didn’t matter how little, and it didn’t matter that the person I just spoke to on the phone, said to bring the dress over to see if they could quickly and easily do it. It’s not like I was even asking for a quick turnaround. I didn’t need the dress for an entire week. I don’t care that they weren’t able to do it, it was just the fact that I called and asked if they could and the lady said well maybe we can just bring it over and let me see it And so I leave right away bring it over just to be greeted by a grumpy lady that just automatically says no. What a waste of time. Not a lot of time wasted, but just stupid. And why do you guys pay $500 plus for these ugly dresses?

Awful alterations... for $140 Sewed up the boning in the side of my dress when they took it in. Hem is crooked and too short for the shoes that I literally had them measure the hem with. Barely touches the ground barefoot. Also, they reattached my straps with hooks, which are visible when the dress is on. They had my dress over 6 weeks.
