I will admit I am a coffee snob. Years ago I worked in dozens of coffee shops all along the Gulf Coast. Hands down, and by a long shot, Drowsy Poet has quality ingredients, superior flavors, and a warm, welcoming environment. I mostly drink coffee, but decided to grab a bite to eat a few days ago - and I'm still thinking about how great the breakfast biscuit was. Enough so, that I had to leave a review. Their coffee and flavors are top notch. There is no comparison, even with Starbucks. Just all around perfect. I wish nothing but the best for this establishment and the employees ❤️

Great place to grab quality cup of coffee in the area. Also have smoothies and pastries. Drive through capable.

There is a drive thru and walk in. The inside is a little tight so I am not sure if I would have a work meeting here but plenty good for meeting friends. Also a small outdoor seating between the entrance and parking lot. The coffee and service is good! I took it down a star because the pastries are from Sam's or Publix. I'll be back but for coffee only.

I have been to the Brent location and here but I frequent this spot due to proximity and mostly order from their drive-thru. This location is smaller and a bit more quaint, but you could still work here if you needed! If I had to choose between the two for a study/work spot, I’d go for the Brent location. Regardless, I’m always met with an employee that is kind and genuinely friendly!

My go-to drink is a 16oz Vanilla Poetchino with an extra shot of espresso. (Sometimes I get whip, sometimes I don’t. Depends on the mood) It’s blended to the CREAMIEST perfection - not too thick or too thin/icy. It’s sweet without sacrificing that delicious coffee flavor! I lose my mind in the car every time I take my first sip because it’s so consistently good.

I also highly recommend:
-16oz Caramel Poetchino w/extra espresso shot (Tad sweeter than the Vanilla, but nothing too overpowering! The coffee flavor is so yummy with the caramel.)
-Their blueberry muffins (Full of that classic Blueberry muffin flavor, moist, not too crumbly and not overly sweet like you find in a lot of pre-packaged muffins. Love their recipe)
-Their breakfast burritos (So flavorful, full of protein and cheesy. Also tasty with the Texas Pete hot sauce they give you)

The Drowsy Poet will always have my business! A must when in town

A Drowsy Poet location that serves acai!☕️🫐

I had been wanting to stop by this location to get a taste of their acai and get a coffee!

Atmosphere: The space has a variety of seating with the barista station taking up the left-hand side!
Service: The worker prepared my coffee and acai bowl quickly. I was the only one in the shop, but they had a line at the drive thru.
Menu items: I got an iced honey cinnamon almond milk latte, and it was the perfect level of sweetness (I don’t like it too sweet)! The acai bowl was what I was most excited for, and it did not disappoint. The blend was smooth, flavorful, and the perfect consistency topped my favorite toppings: banana, blueberries, and granola.

We have a few Drowsy Poet locations in town with their own take. This one is more drive thru focused and has an aesthetic exterior!

Sad to have to post this but I am done with Dro Po. This used to be my favorite spot but I cannot get a good coffee anymore. I've given multiple chances, but after this last attempt I will no longer be able to chance it.
The baristas have a difficult time with getting the order correct and then absolutely CANNOT execute even when the order has been clarified. Tired of going back to have remade and even more tired of having the deliciousness of of 7-10$ coffee taste like warm milk.
Management is awesome. Most of the people at the window are awesome, but if you can't find a great barista to make your drinks then you have nothing.
I despise StarB's but at the least they can make my coffee to order consistently. I'd much rather give my money to DroPo, but not no mo.

I can order the same latte 5 times and it will taste different all 5 times. Just about the only consistent thing with the drinks here is that the ice in my iced latte is melted by the time I drive off. Owner is very VERY rude.

I was attending this location pretty much everyday since we moved to the area in 2018 but in the past 12mo I only go once in a blue moon hoping it goes back to the way it used to be this was caused by being constantly overcharged for my drink (this was confirmed by their prices at their sister location they own) the inconsistency of the drinks, i even gave grace for the fact they they had new staff. Unfortunately this morning was a reminder on why I have to continue to make my own at home. My chocolate strawberry latte tasted like a watered down hot chocolate and my go to drink I had to repeat 4 times they still tried to leave out the heavy whipping cream even though it was written on the cup and it was extremely watered down with the slightest hint of white chocolate. I'm so sad i really want this place back, hopefully it will get better.
